Welcome back! Sorry to keep you waiting. Shall we just get to it?



This guy again. Well, this doesn't seem at all fishy. But hey, a merchant is
a merchant. Though he's not my favorite merchant.



Except for wounds and magic. And falls from heights of more than 50 feet.



It's okay guys! I'm a good guy!

I'm surprised they allow him right to the front lines and allow him to just
attack like that. But then again, these guys seem alot more loyal and maybe
a bit more stupid.



Our line up for this chapter. Also there's a secret shop on this map.
I will be hitting it.

But here's the pirate that got foreshadowed last chapter. Finally we have an axe user.
I'll try to give him time because I love Berserkers.



No one will guard our merchant. I think reinforcements will come but I also have
some doubts as if to they actually will or not. Taking a gambit here, let's see if
it pays off.



I've never used either of these characters in my previous runs.

Lyam is a substitute unit in my eyes. High level, decent stats. Good use if you really
need him. Plus he brings a little variety into the game with his class but ultimately
he doesn't bring what we really need.

Mark's base stats make me sad for his level. It seems really underwhelming.
He has an auto support but it's with Sai. Sai isn't exactly a good unit, plus he's my
least favorite axe class. Fighter.


WARNING: We hit the secret shop. I'm nice enough to hide the location for
those who absolutely don't want to see where it is.

It's not all that bad. Cappricio is a broken weapon, way too strong in my opinion.
This more or less just serves as a super shop.

We proceed together and without too much trouble. Ultimately my little
gamble pays off. WOO! BREAKS!



We get back Siegfried! I'm not sure if this is good or bad but it makes Shon happy.

Tekun gets a solid growth while Karina is...well she's lagging behind but is
tankier than Tekun.

A few things happen here, mostly planning. So we're crossing water to get to
the Magnians. And we need pirates.

killing and stabbing an stuff. Right?



...Well. It's a Fire Emblem game? What do you expect? Negotiation every chapter?
Looks like we need to beat this swordsman first.

I like this little tidbit here.

Anyway, Davyback fight. Let's go!



Tekun: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU BET ME IN THIS FIGHT!?
Anakin: ...zzz. *Stirs* Hm? Where am I?
Kelik: Relax Tekun. You're Immortal, you'll out live them all an-
Tekun: THAT'S BESIDES THE POINT!
Anakin: *blink*
Kelik: ...But no seriously. You'll be fine. Just kill whoever gets in your way.
Tekun: ...But that's Roronoa Zoro.
Kelik: The man get's lost on a straight path. We'll be fine.
Besides your capable enough. Just think of the sword he's using.
It's droppable.



Zoro from One Piece. Fun. 12 Con and he's using a weapon which always does
true damage. Thankfully the hit is low. But the point is, 18 damage flat and he
can double.

This chapter takes a little thinking because you are forced to use Anakin in a
situation where he will be swarmed and all the enemies are strong.



Tekun has STR, Speed and Skill Capped. Otherwise eh.



But no one can use it here. You're a soldier. Promote you fool!



Tekun promotes. I'm not terribly impressed with this. Here's why.
Now I'm going to be biased a little because Tekun is my character but
shut your faces and listen for a second.

+5 HP, while this is awesome it's not all that impressive considering HP is an
easy stat to increase. Most HP growths are high and a thing called Seraph Robe
exist. It gives 5 HP. We'll find them. But it's fine.

+2 Strength, it's awesome on Myrmidons but Myrmidons don't have a high Strength
cap. Tekun will max Strength, guaranteed but it's only a cap of 25. But to be fair,
Tekun isn't like most Myrmidons.

No Skill and No Speed. Myrmidons specialize in this, it's easy to see why they don't
get them. But Skill and Speed are very valuable stats.

No Luck, No one gets Luck ever. This is non negotiable.

+2 Defense. Combine this with 5 HP and suddenly your survivability has gone up
considerably. This is probably the best thing here because unlike HP defense is not
a common growth.

+1 Resistance. What a rip off. Resistance is easily the HARDEST stat to raise out of
most melee characters and Sword masters only get a +1 to it. I would gladly
trade all that HP for another point or two of resistance because at least I'm
guaranteed HP.

+1 Con. Everyone always gets a Con increase when they level up. You can't complain
too much about it because an increase in Con is awesome. It helps because Tekun is
surprisingly a light character.

I could always want more Con though because who the hell doesn't want more Con?
Con is an awesome stat to buff because there's only so few ways to increase it.

Anyway, enough of that.



Tekun: "...What is a child doing with such an incredibly powerful weapon."

Tekun visits another house. Another child with...oddities.



Best parents in the world? Or BEST parents in the world?



Tekun: "After this, You'll be lucky if I leave you in...One Piece."

Zoro: "..."

Here we learn a bit more about Kelik's brother. There's more but I'm a tease. <3

After this Kelik and company formed a group called the Legend Pirates and went out
to the Grand Line in order to find treasure. The entire group questioned Kelik's
decision making but it was okay. Because money solves everyone's problems.
With enough you can fix any stat problem.

This made me snicker a little.



Magnians are now a unit of measure. So by that logic a boss is like ten Magnians unless
they're a recruitable boss in which case upon recruitment their value drops.



Well, you were sent to prison for trying to incite rebellion.
Are you really surprised by this?



This took a lot of debate and as much as I hate to make people sit out that
I want to use they need to sometimes so other units can gain EXP.



Someone's confident.



So he has a lance that is super effective against Swords.
Reminds me of Gyrados against a thunder based attack.

You know how Flying is bad against Thunder and how Water is too?
Well weaknesses/strengths stack. Electricity SCREWS Gyrados.

Oh it's a promotional item, not a... nevermind.

A small rant. Where the hell are the Elysian whips? I've yet to so much as see
one in this mode and we have three unpromoted fliers and a forth one who was
promoted. I'm tired of guiding rings and knight crest.



Howard seems determined to crush us. It's time we fought.



Asch finally levels up once. About time. To be honest guys, I have been using him
it's just the fact that he's harder to level up because it takes so many fights to
actually do so.



Anakin calls for reinforcements. Need to do this before a certain turn.
"Yeah, let's hope. I mean this isn't war or anything."



"No really? Why aren't we stabbing him yet?"

Good placement for Noah. Noah is a strong unit on his own with a strong equipment
set up.



Cia is getting close to that magical number.



Soldier: *Double checks his weapon* We're okay then.



We learn, or at least reaffirm what occurred in the prologue happened a few
years ago. Certainly interesting.



WOO! We hit it. You know what that means guys?! Also Shon is approaching
that number soon but he won't promote for a while.



People I know want me to use Itsuke. I don't know why.
But this growth reaffirms my want for Cia.



WANT!

Okay so let's look at this Promotion compared to Tekun's.

First off, we hit every stat but Luck. This makes this awesome as is.

+3 HP, I can't complain at all and it's a noticeable boost at least.
+1 Magic. She's a magic dominant stat, some classses don't even get their
dominant stat.
+2 Skill. Also Nice.
+1 Speed. Once again, some classes don't even get a dominant stat and Cia capped
this over Magic. It might have been Luck but...
+2 Defense, combine this with +3 HP and we're golden.
+2 Resistance. Combine this with +2 Def and +3 HP and we have a massive
survivability boost.
+1 Con. Cia is a light character and every class at least gets this.

This promotion is OP. Just saying.



With our purple knight wasted we capture the fort.



Enjoy that speed growth Lirin... Enjoy it. Because I have seen the future and it
is bleak for you.

Now that we're fighting Howard let's see what he has other than glitches.

Kelik isn't OP yet but he's strong. This match up is actually interesting at
this point in the story.

This is required for Shon's side quest. We need to face a bully and show him
whose boss.

Level 11 Forced Promotion. Well. At least Anakin is a support and not a combat
unit. I can live with this.

I will never understand what it is about letting animals indoors and on thrones.
It's really silly. Anyway, this boss doesn't seem too tough. And he drops an
Animate Seal. Joy.



I guess he'll be giving this an Earnest effort. HO! HO! HO!



And so will we. This chapter is mostly just fighting your way through without
a time limit. It's one of these chapters where we can go through and fight,
taking our time with the enemy forces. I like chapters like these.



Nothing says "Traitor" like defecting when your commander is
stabbed and flees with his tail between his legs.

Karina hits max level for her class. <3
This makes me beyond happy. ^^

I think I know what to do on a chapter like this.

Meanwhile, let's see what our favorite Swordmaster is up to.




It's around this time that Tekun realizes that there will be a plot twist,
just like Fight Club. It turns out they're really the same person.

Question, Anakin didn't promote after that chapter for my version (the public version while it was still in closed beta). I was thinking of updating the patch since the new beta came out, but if I did that, would Anakin be screwed? Just finished chapter 18 myself.
