> What Anime Are You Watching Right Now?

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou huh... I'll see it then.
And Sora no Otoshimono was good. Not something you can get bored after the first episode and you just keep going because of the story.
For Seraphinox:
Gintama... I already looked onto it but didn't feel the comedy so I stopped at episode 4. Maybe the comedy level ain't enough or not my sort of type.
I already viewed the Space Dandy's trailer and didn't like the graphics... It feels like it was made by Westerners.
Nobunagun then... I think I'll watch it sometime after it is aired completely.
Kill la Kill sounds more like an anime where you kill all the time but I think I will give it a check! TAHA
Oh I forgot I also watch The Unbreakable Machine-doll, and Seitokai no Ichizon.

Kill la Kill has like, nothing to do with killing really (only one person has really died so far lol, some other had implied deaths but it was mostly a joke from one of the side-characters lol)
it's funny but the action is also there and a big part of it at that
I didn't like Space Dandy either, first episode... I could tell what kinda anime it was and what it was trying to do but it just totally didn't click or appeal to me. I kinda knew in the back of my head it was going to be a joke but it was still bad for me. it'd take a LOT to undo that terrible first impression and get me to watch the other episodes (I think episode 3 just aired)

Episode 2 was much better with some really beautiful animation. Made me laugh quite a bit as well.

also i've kinda grown out of shows that are funny just out of stupidity, i have a higher standard for humor now, amongst other things
... did a ctrl+F and you may have been talking about this

I was depressed REALLY badly after finishing that show, I think that says something about it |
in which case I was talking about The Pet Girl of Sakurasou/Sakura Dormitory (the Jap name is "Sakurasou no Pet no Kanojo" IIRC, that might help you find some place to stream it online)

and it is glorious
also thinking about continuing Log Horizon but I don't really remember where I was last at (at most I remember some high level guild guys trapped in a building because lolpermissions)

and that is a pretty cool arrow shooting scene, what anime is it from?
EDIT: also, Buddy Complex sure takes a while to sub. I guess it's okay since it gives me something to do Monday but ehhhh... show is really good though.
I'm tempted to just watch it without subs but the story is complicated here and there with science fiction jargon and crap so it's probably best I not (especially since I don't have the time or motivation to rewatch it once it finally IS subbed)

wow I have GOT to know how this continues/what happens next, last time they left with a major cliffhanger but this time there's so much potential for conflict and other things. I really need to know what exactly happened I CAN'T STAND IT UGH
good stories can really suck when you can't control how fast you finish them. at least with video games or books you can play or read as much as you possibly can and finish in a few days if you really want to, but having to wait a week for a new episode (or manga chapter, I have the same problem with One Piece) is torture lol, plus the animation is really good too so that's also exciting.

Nisekoi (Created by Shaft) is great
Hamatora is great
Nobunaga the fool is great
Noragami is alright
Space Dandy is great (Last two episodes have really picked after the boorish uninspired start)
Wake Up Girls is great
There's a lot of good stuff this season, I don't have enough time

Not that that matters to me who's a lot more concerned with how much a show already appeals to me with its cover (art style, voicing, setting and some other more specific things that are mostly irrelevant to how good or bad the writing actually is), though.

Space Dandy really steps it up in some scenes in terms of the animation.
The shows I've listed above are the 8 good shows I've found out of 25+ so, yes, definitely, the amount of 'good' stuff this season is in the minority.

Buddy Complex is great Nisekoi (Created by Shaft) is great |
these two are my top two picks (for ones that pretty much started in 2014--Kill la Kill started a while earlier so I'm not counting it, sorry)
I might try out Noragami
the rest don't seem to be my thing
can hardly wait for the latest episodes of Nisekoi and Buddy Complex, the latter has especially good animation and a solid story. ***SPOILERS*** I'm just waiting for Aoba to like, breakdown. Total breakdown. It's been building up towards it so if he doesn't break down I'm going to seriously be disappointed since that makes him a sort of bland and 1-dimensional character or something. He was thrown into a crazy future and in the middle of war with no one he knows and everything and everyone he knows is gone and he might not ever return back and the one person he recognizes is an enemy of the opposite nation. The dude has got to be feeling terrible deep inside, even if his personality is one suited to handling something like this lol (calm, collected, able to accept it... adaptable... whatever)
also Kill la Kill is taking a wee bit longer to sub
and Buddy Complex almost always takes 2 days. Ugh. It's so good I can't hold out that long maaaaan. I keep being very tempted to just watch it RAW but ultimately I don't understand all of it without subs so I somehow hold out the weight. but not without constantly checking throughout the days lol (I check on Sunday even though I know it doesn't get subbed until like Monday night)

Sure hope it takes off after this. This is getting pretty tedious...aren't thriller stories supposed to want to have you seek out the answer? All I've gotten so far is that Akira is generic and the interesting characters keep getting killed, leaving me with him and a realistic girl who seems to have no point being in the show.
Well, except Misae (the officer's wife). That was pretty awesome. But I suspect she won't be coming back for a second appearance.

The same stuff. Nisekoi and Buddy Complex are some of my faves still lolol, BC is getting slightly less impressive/slightly more repetitive though. The sense of an overall plot is a bit missing (it's there but it's very focused/zoomed in right now) but we'll see how this pans out more in the long-run. Nisekoi idk it's just funny *shrug* and Log Horizon is getting a bit deeper finally and the last episode had some great action IMO so I'm digging it quite a bit.
Maaaay start watching Noragami
and a friend wants me to watch Angel Beats
so those are things

Speaking of Ben-To, I wonder if it's actually remotely as exciting as it is animated in the original light novel. It just seems even weirder to have something like that as a book with few pictures in it than it is as an animation. |
the way you worded this just like, totally confused me lol I don't understand it
and I think Nisekoi is just one of those things where it's a random personal quirk that I like it. It's just a typical rom-com really, it's pretty stupid actually and yet still I find it SO hard to hold back the urge to know what's going to happen next--I'm so close to ruining everything by reading the manga (which seems to be ongoing), haha. I CAN'T HANDLE IT

Ben-To's fight scenes are exciting when animated. Animation is a visual presentation of events, which also is not static like still images (hence, animation.)
However, the original medium it is presented in lacks high numbers of illustrations, and mostly describes what happens with words.
The setting of Ben-To is already peculiar in the medium of animation.
The setting is even stranger and less obvious in its presentation when it must be presented with words and few illustrations.
When that is the case, would it be remotely as exciting as the version which is animated?

Holy crap. They made Kanon look like...well...Kanon again (the movie was patently bad for that). Oh, and they're bringing back Fafner.
Colour me excited. Can't believe it has been 10 years since one of my favourites characters was written into existence. If anybody ever asks why this is, just look up the 17th episode of Fafner: Dead Aggressor. It's one of the best compressed character developments, giving rhyme, reason, and earnest emotion. Art choices aside, it's absolutely lovely and I'm glad I get to see more of it (hopefully!).
