Dragonball is easy to get addicted to.

One Piece anime is pretty shaky/inconsistent but it has some great moments (cough Alabasta, CP9). Watch the specials/movies too if you're bored (especially the episode of nami and merry since they're pretty high quality and throw in some new animation scenes and stuff).

Out of all the movies, Strong World and Film Z are must-sees for any One Piece fan, the rest are eh and I'd only suggest them if you're bored and can't get enough One Piece like me lol

I was watching Railgun S, and realised I hadn't watched any of the series' that precede it

Started Nisekoi today, going to watch Buddy Complex episode 2 whenever it gets subbed. So far both shows are off to good starts and I'm excited for more episodes, haha.

^I have hardly anything on the backlog, watching Full Metal Alchemist right now, it's okay I guess. Just watching like one episode a day. Even if I had time to watch more it has yet to get me really interested.

Buddy Complex and Nisekoi are looking to be great though (especially Buddy Complex, that show has SICK animation and decent story/characters so far) and naturally I'm still following the airing anime I've been watching for a while now (One Piece, Naruto, Kill la Kill, Log Horizon, toonami dubs except Space Dandy because I thought it was awful).

They came out and said that Space Dandy was more an episode 0 than anything else, it was them just kind of setting up the world without it being canon.

The 2nd episode was much better.

Alright, so in terms of the Raildex i've seen

Index S1 - 12/24 episodes
Railgun S1 - 0/24
Index S2 - 0/24
Ralsun S2 - 10/24

Somewhere along the lines I got horribly confused, timelines are screwy in this universe.

The order you're meant to watch it in apparently is

Railgun S1 --> First half of Index S1 --> Railgun S --> Rest of Index 1 --> Index 2

This is what happens people when you don't plan shit properly

I heard Railgun and Index have very little to do with each other (that's important enough for anything to make sense) anyway.

I haven't seen anything past the first episode of the Railgun anime myself but I can tell you that I didn't have any problems watching Index without seeing the vast majority of anything Railgun has to offer. It's really there for Mikoto fans anyway.

Not that the plot of these things is at all good enough to care about in the first place (don't watch these things unless you're satisfied with the magic/superpower action + hollywood christianity for the hell of it...and I guess there's the whole justice rant followed by punching thing)

The Index side of things is a bit boring, but Mikoto is a good character and the action in S2 of Railgun is pretty great

I'm not very good with "incredibly stupid" but I can at least try the first episode. Not going to say no without even looking into it.

On a side note, this week's episode of Kill la Kill was pretty interesting. And I can't wait for this weekend to hit in all of its glory.

personal preference

depends on the execution as well, I know I saw a lot of cartoons that were incredibly stupid and they were straight-up awful. I also managed to enjoy Spongebob Squarepants (yes, the sponge that lives in a pineapple under the sea) and that show is retarded, so it comes down to the show.

a really serious show can also be awful but I do appreciate my strong plots and writing and epic battles and semi-realistic portrayal of characters or events (at least within the setting of the story, maybe not from a "OUR world"-realistic standpoint).

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou - Comedy, slice of life, REALLY good and very uh, emotional at times tons of feelz

I was depressed REALLY badly after finishing that show, I think that says something about it

Ben-To, Seraph suggested it to me and wow it was freaking good (the animation was great, the other stuff was interesting enough lol, and it's got some comedy and some fan service since I think you said you liked that)

How was Sora no Otoshimono? I had written that down as a potential watch

For new anime of 2014, Nisekoi might be up your ally (might)

For 2014, Space Dandy really picked up in episode 2

Noragami is a nice show about demons and souls and whatnot. Also only 12 episodes.

Nobunagun is ridiculously silly but at only 13 episodes could be good for a quick laugh

Kill La Kill is life, Kill La Kill is pleasure.

I can't remember what else I've watched this year.
