And now that I've gotten over how good your drawings are, I'll try to throw in some actual critique here and there, despite how little there is to give. XD

This looks like a job for Lancer!
YOUR PRETTINESS AND ART SKILLS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ONE ANOTHER. PREPARE TO GET EATEN ALIVE WITH CRITIQUE.
Maybe. Depends on my mood really~ :3

As for the rest, well, official art doesn't really try that hard to make Generals seem like they're wearing armor thick enough to be difficult to walk in either, but if you do want to make them seem like they are wearing such without making their actual bodies larger, you can simply add the thick parts of the armor(Overlapping plates of metal work too) on places that wouldn't interact with the joints, such as only adding really thick arm armor to the parts of the arm facing away from the elbow, wrist and armpit.
Elbow and knee armor should have relatively little protection (or none) on the inner joint, with a curved, large plate on the outer joint, (think of how the shapes > and < are, it's like this but more exaggerated for this specific case) as this allows for flexibility while still appearing bigger, though you can also just cover the elbow and knee with either the lower or higher arm/leg armor(Both the upper and lower armor guarding the joints at the same time isn't recommended though.)
The lower leg and arm armor should also be bigger than the upper arm or leg armor, but this doesn't need to be followed, it's just more convenient when you have oversized shoulder and skirt armor.
Unarmored areas can be compensated with mail (metal rings connected to each other, which have very high flexibility), and leaving as little skin or fitting cloth(in other words, non-cape or skirt kinds of clothing) visible ends with the best armored look.
Never question how impractical or uncomfortable it may end up looking.
I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

Meh, I don't exactly agree with this. I think one should question it, but also take into fact how common it is in the general style or whatever that the character is being drawn in. By FE standards, certain things are acceptable, but by "real human" standards, some things obviously aren't.

Well, that's just my opinion, you're free to have yours lol

I don't think she should really surpass the size of say, this either:

but that has more to do with how going above that level of armor is kind of unnecessary for the defense values people have in FE.
I guess it means i'm agreeing with you...just with a slightly different way of thinking. >_>

Introducing, TLP's Siegfried, the Champion of Regalia!
Blazer, I hope this will live up to the standard of this character XD If you'll just PM details for the next, that'd be great~

@Hatless - thanks for the pointers for the armor, I've been trying to apply them in my art~

@ Hatless - Maybe regal wasn't the word for it, but I was trying to give Siegfried more of a..."HIGH RANK" look to him. I've never played TLP so that's why I probably completely missed the feel of the character

@ Snow - omg thank you! I knew SOMETHING was awkward, but I just couldn't pin-point it hahah. I'm going to complete redo Sieg anyhow (3/4th view like Blazer originally wanted), but I'll watch my angles and proportions more

@ Ryoku - The hair definitely wasn't one of my favorites, if anyone could describe it better, that'd be great. From the portrait, it just looked...flat and slicked back - two things I need to work on.
Overall, I seem to have missed the mark, but I got some great practice in and the next Siegfried will be a thousand times better. Thank you guys so much for taking the time to tell me exactly what is off, as that really helps me improve!
