Anyhow, it's past 6AM, so let's get this started: I think I might've shown this before, but you can now "Enter" any of the Stars in the Constellation. Any character can enter them, and doing so will take you to said Star... whatever that may be. Nothing out of this world, but I think it's a bit nicer than having to "wait" on said tiles. XP Why the heck would anyone ever want to kill a unit, huh? The answer is, game limitations. Sorry, but due to various glitches amongst other stuff, I've limited the amount of units the player can have to 40. The actual limit is a bit higher, but I didn't want to cut-off the player at like, "43" units, and I was encountering some obscure glitches with later characters that I just didn't feel were worth looking into, mainly because they're beyond my ability. Just trying to get 40 characters to work took way more work than you'll ever see, trust me. XP That being said, the "Killing Machine", as I've so kindly dubbed it, will let you kill any of your characters. Doing so will remove their data entirely. This'll clear up space to recruit new characters or re-recruit characters that have died by replaying the Star you originally recruited them in. Later on, you'll likely have to get rid of some of the "extra" units you aren't using if you want to get some of the later gems. XP Moving on, remember how I said that any character can enter a Star? Well, in the case of the Galactic Arena, the character you send to the arena will actually be the unit you use IN the arena. Depending on how much you know about hacking, this may sound cool, or it may sound like something one would expect--but truth be told, it's a new mechanic I programmed into the game and I don't think anyone else has done it before, but I did it because I felt like the GA could benefit from it and it'd make it feel more... I dunno, just better. I mean, the way it worked before was that Anakin would be forced and you'd have to manually choose the other character, and then Anakin would magically disappear when the arena started--but then, you could actually not choose ANYONE to enter the GA, and Anakin would disappear, so there'd be no Player Phase... and well, that's no fun, and like, impossible to get out of without restarting the chapter and actually deploying a unit. XD This next new mechanic is probably going to get some mixed reactions for some mixed reasons: I'm not sure how obvious Galagar makes this, but he can actually make any character get to their max stats. Instantly. For a price. Sounds overpowered and way too convenient, right? Well, don't get TOO excited--you can't use this feature for a while, and it's a bit expensive. If I were you, I'd train your units to level 20/20 or 30/20 (am I even doing it right? is it unpromoted/promoted or promoted/unpromoted? bleh) first and THEN using it, or you'll be losing a lot of money. Granted, I try to be generous, and even with max stat characters, you'll still want a bit of strategy on some of the later maps, since they're still challenging. Though, an insider secret: there's a strategy to beat the final Star in one turn. If you're witty enough to figure out what it is or come up with something similar, then you'll save yourself a LARGE headache, but I'm not giving you any hints! Except that you shouldn't forget to visit Jake like I do. Back to this little mech--it's 500 gold per HP point and 1000 gold for all other stats. Yes, HP costs a bit more than the normal ratio (5 points for 7,500 Gold versus 2 points of other stats for 8,000 gold). I might change these in the future though if they end up being too cheap... I really doubt it's too expensive. XP Though if you don't like it, feel free to suffer like the betatesters and farm money and then go to a hard-to-reach Secret Shop to buy stat boosters... Oh, by the way, that character on the left? You might've seen him in a video earlier... He's Regis, an assassin. You don't know him, and it seems like a stupid idea to add him, but I have three things to say about that: 1) this is my hack and it's intended to be fun to make and play, so I can and will do whatever I want in getting it to be fun to make and play, 2) he's a cameo from another Fire Emblem hack that you probably don't know, and 3) he's a good unit, so don't be hatin'! That's about it for new mechanisms at the time being--there's some small stuff here and there and some of the stuff I've already shown you, as well as some general mechanisms to fix bugs or set up systems, but there's nothing else TOO major... As for what could POSSIBLY be after the Astral Rift that's not Support Conversations or the Ending? Well, there IS this: Whatever the "Tower of the Chosen" is... I don't remember visiting that place...... Oh, and if you liked the music in The Last Promise, I think you may find that my long night of ASM hacking (read: the process of painfully analyzing how the game works to find out how to make it work in my favor... and then actually making it work in my favor--the same process used in all of these mechanisms) finally paid off. Oh, it didn't work the first time, but I'm super stubborn... Hopefully no one minds me having every song in the Sound Room unlocked by default... Or if that's an issue, I could always just lock every song up instead... ![]() Night~! |

Having the Sound Room fully unlocked will make the Original Soundtrack so much easier to make. I still have to insert some new songs from the post-game though, as well as insert an updated version of "The Final Showdown" and fix "Fighting of the Spirit" (it doesn't loop properly). But in general, making that hack was worth it XP

I remember Blazer saying something about the game having flags when you get the secrets... so I'm just curious.
Thanks for any help.

Nope, you have to get them all in the same playthrough. Sorry, bud. The only other option is to pay a fee of like, 700,000 gold or something to get there. Also, you can ask this in the TLP topic in the forum, since it's actually open now.. *merges* |
I was so confused trying to find my topic... well darn. Guess I'll just pay since, no offense, I don't plan on playing the entire thing again

I also wanted to take this time to apologize for my abrupt departure/disappearance. Aside from my fading interest in the games, I also got extremely busy, as I was starting my sophomore year of high school at that time. (Now I am a second semester Senior and I have way more free time :]).
Now, I remembered something character I submitted to a forum hack a while back and came searching for it, leading me here. Holy crap things have changed. (I spent some time on the blog trying to catch up to where things are at, but kinda got lost after the constellations bit...)
So I download it and begin playing, and I finally get to the chapter where I can recruit my character (Noah). And I find that he is completely different than the last time I saw him lol. Now, I am not complaining, because I love what was done with him. His sprites and dialogue fit so well together and I love the new mug too. I used the recruitment guide from the main site to find him but found that it is a bit out of date. He is a hero rather than a mercenary at this point, and I decided to do more research into what exactly happened.
Forum crawling has led me to piece together that Noah was causing a lot of problems for the game, and since I kinda just up and disappeared, he was left in an unfinished, limbo/filler state. However, that is all I could really find out, and I would LOVE if someone could fill me in on his status.
1. Does he even return in part 2?
2. Is he auto-leveled or have new stats?
3. What exactly happened to him/led to all his changes?
Again, I wanted to apologize to Blazer for any problems my abrupt departure may have caused as far as hacking/story issues go.

Secondly, I just wanted to report that the main last promise page (the one hosted on feshrine), has many outdated links and/or broken ones.
-Some of the forums don't exist anymore
-The character recruitment guide is a bit out of date.
-It is kinda messy (I'm already giving critism

Thirdly, and finally, can someone please explain to me what these constellations/arena things are? I am uber confused on that. Are there any arenas in the final game?
TL;DR:
1. Sorry I vanished for 3 years, and sorry if it caused any issues with Noah.
2. What is his current status as far as his position in the game.
3. There are a few outdated portions of the last promise main page.
4. What is the constellation thing?
5. Are there arenas in the game?

I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

As for the TLP page, it's true I haven't worked on it in a while, but it shouldn't be that outdated O_o Anyhow I'm pretty busy right now but I'll keep it in the back of my head to check it out and make updates when I can
There are a couple arenas in the game, but you can't really abuse them because of turn limits. One is in chapter 5x, and one is in chapter 23x, and I don't think there are any others. The easiest one to use is the one in 23x and I put it there so that any units a little behind can catch-up (and abusing rescuing/dropping/motivating can help you get a little more out of the arena there, since there's a turn limit).
As for the Constellation, that's the name of the post-game, pretty much. It's essentially like a map where you can go ahead and fight in various battles and stuff, including the bonus dungeon, the Astral Rift. It's more or less separate from the main-game and isn't 100% complete, and isn't out in this patch yet. Eventually, I hope to release one more patch with the completed post-game/Constellation as well as Support Conversations and a proper/full ending/epilogue for the game.
Let me know if I missed anything or if you have any other questions.

First of all, I will start off with a few questions that I'm hoping you can answer:
1. At what chapters do the main characters auto-promote? And does Sieg Auto-Promote?
2. Off the top of your head, where is the first Fel Contract in the game?
3. This is a big one, but nonetheless, I wanted to suggest it for you to keep in the back of your mind: The main last promise webpage should include a document with the location of all the seals/promotion items in the game. That is a big endeavor but throwing it out there nonetheless.
4. Aside from Tekun and the main characters, are there any other custom classes in the game? More specifically, are there any with custom animations (like Tekun/Kelik)
5. The boss battle music is epic, where can I get it? (such as the one where you fight howard)
Now the second thing I wanted to add involves the main last promise page and some of the errors that I found. I wanted to make it easier for you should you decide to go back and edit it in the near future. These were all of the ones that I found

Anyways, here goes.
1. In the recruitment document:
-Noah is a hero when he first shows up in chapter 7.
-Logan's class states swordsman, when he is in fact a myrmidon.
-It states Gordon as the cavalier that rejoins in chapter 16, but it is Corben. (I think its because gordon was his old name?)
-Siegfried's class says Knight Lord rather than Knight-Errant when he rejoins in chapter 17.
-(I'm only up to chapter 18 so i don't know about anything else.)
2. Broken Link:
-The Feshrine forum link doesn't direct anywhere.

Sorry for the long post... again. I wanted to be as specific and helpful as possible.
