I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

^how descriptive
[redacted]
does Akame ga Kill actually have good music?
Just downloaded this OST on my phone last night. I think I like more of the originals better, but some of the Evolution songs aren't bad either. XP

Akame ga Kill! certainly has several pieces I'm not sure I'd find elsewhere. But it's also true that I don't like a lot of what it has. I basically just grabbed the second song posted there and deleted the rest of the second disk of the OST after I sampled all of them. Though, either way part of the reason I'm so into OSTs is because of the scenes they accompanied, so there's way too much bias and lack of actual musical education to say much about them.
Now listening to this (actually the full version but seems people have trouble with getting YouTube to keep that one)

Yeah, I'm very much about the scenes that accompany music/the memories behind them etc. too, it's part of why video game music appeals to me as much as it does. Not just nostalgia even, though that's certainly a big part of it. Just a song with no... "context" is just good music, but a song with context and memories and such becomes much more than that, IMO.
...
a bit of a tangent, but unfortunately right now I'm not really listening to any music or anything else in particular, so >>'

If nothing else, the Advance Wars franchise tells me how exactly to write character into music. Also.

The chick has amnesia, if I remember correctly. Its a long ass time since I played it, but I think that's what's up. So boy names girl. Hmm, unless the amnesia girl was another one. Someone has amnesia in that game, I swear!
Yes. He named the amnesia girl.
Long story short, the character had amnesia, receives a flower by the guy on the left (Cattleya Isabella) and she wants to name herself Cattleya since she knew the name of the flower (which she thought was nice). The guy on the left decides that's too hard and decides on Isabella. That's where the above comes from.
Days of Ruin has a lot of these fun moments with Lin (the character on the left) as she's the deadpan character and the anti-hero of the protagonists. This basically means she ends up with the funniest lines and the best scenes. It's actually a pretty funny game despite being a post-apocalyptic world...so much so that it's still debated by fans whether or not it's funnier than the original games (where the main character in the first game basically didn't know what an airport was. And he's a commanding officer. To quote another character: "We narrowly survived, and he wants cake and ice cream").
For example, when another character asks why she has no sense of humour
Just so this is contributing to the topic: another case of these fun Advance Wars themes is the main series' bad guy. It basically tells you everything you need to know...he's mean, he's evil, and he's going to leave destruction in his wake (not included: he can summon meteors to kill you):

ok, took me like... 5 times of reading it to understand that explanation but
I think I finally got it
so the deal is there is some 3rd girl who Will named and that explains Lin's hilarious comment XD sounds like I might enjoy that sense of humor haha
EDIT: oh and since spamming threads with off-topic discussion is technically considered bad by forum rules that don't really matter at this point
I totally didn't just pull up this song so I'd have something to post in the thread
