Best three classes, Swordmasters, Great Knights, Generals. Fourth would be Sages.

Not really. You have either Ninian or Nils for increased movement and they're (Hector/Oswin) great for holding off narrow passages. Like the Cog of Destiny chapter.

Dancers can be better used on sending a high move unit even further in for more attacking during enemy phase.

^But dancer/bard can move with them at the same pace. If you use Paladins, then the dancer/bard would get left behind.

Yes, but you can get rid of more enemies in one turn the way I set it out. Generals do have their uses though.

Two Paladins would be better than one dancer, one paladin. More HP between the two, meaning more survived attacks, thus more counterattacks.

Yup they have better caps and are better at blocking off passage ways.
Also if anyone is in danger of dying, they can just rescue that unit. Sure they may get double attacked, but damage if any would be very minimal.
Unless a foe just happens to have a armor slayer or the like.

Hm, I would've moved the other units up to protect the dancer. And I guess the whole plan depends on the enemy unit placement.

I assumed the dancer was out of harm's reach, thus only one paladin to take all the damage.

True. You could have crappy extra units that you never use and just have the dancer as a place holder.
