Yeah man. It won't be long before we see some perfect games coming out.

And I think Liriano's no hitter proved that you don't have to be considered a premier pitcher in order to achieve the feat.

I dont think Dallas Braden and A.J. Burnett, or not even my favorite Anibal Sanchez were considered premier pitchers... at least not like guys like the Wainwrights, Carpenters, Lincecums, Halladays, and the such.

W00t, Red Sox beat the Yankees again. If we sweep this series it'll tie us for second place. Finally things are turning around.

And dang, Cleveland and Phillie are doing amazing.

Good to hear. What were the sox like, 3-10 before?

Phillies just wont lose. The Marlins are doing surprisingly good, but the Phillies just wont lose, so we cant keep ground with them.

It may have been worse than that >.> but you're not far off tongue.gif. I believe the Sox got off to the worst start in in over...50 years? I may be wrong but still.

And yeah, the Phillies are unstoppable. If the Marlins were in essentially any other division they'd be in first place. The Phillies have a dynasty going.

HAH! Red Sox swept the Yankees.

We're now at .500 and are tied for wins with NY (and Toronto o_O). Unless Baltimore screws us over again, we should be above .500 by the end of the day and hopefully creep into second place.

On a side note, the AL East is damn close. Boston, NY, Toronto and Baltimore almost have identical records o_O

Man, the Twins are on a losing streak...our bats simply aren't there. I don't know what it is.

I like to think of the Twins as a sleeping monster. We have great players who can take the ball deep and two pitchers (Liriano and Pavano) that are supposed to be our one two punch but aren't pitching up to snuff. I'm waiting for the day that this monster will wake up.

Double post, because I think this warrants a bump.

Harmon Killebrew, a home run leader and a member of the HOF passed away this morning.

He played for the Twins, but I think this is kind of sad for anyone that's a baseball fan.

^ A bit older news at this point, but still a sad day for all of baseball.

On the bright side, what up second place, half a game back behind the Yankees? I <3 my Red Sox. we beat the red-hot Indians 14-2 last night too. Damn. Finally this season's turning around.

If only the same would happen for my twins....

Regardless, I'm glad the Yankees have fire on their asses. I'm a Yankee hater.

Jeez, the phillies just won't lose.

On any other division (except AL Central), Marlins would be in 1st place by a mile. a 29-19 record isn't anything to sneeze at.

Well, the Red Sox' hot streak finally came to end last night. Ah well. First place in the AL East though biggrin.gif

On a side note, I'm going to the Red Sox game tonight vs the White Sox. WOOT.

bluspidr, that video is awesome.

Go Red Sox. The White Sox are my second least favorite team behind the Yankees.

I think it goes something like this

Yankees
White Sox
Tigers
Royals
Cardinals
Phillies

in terms of hate.

Well, the Red Sox lost, but at least they made it a ball game. We were down 10-1 but managed to bring it back to 10-7 with a couple men on in the ninth.

We lost, but at least we made a significant comeback.

the A's have won 6 in a row

damn those yellow jerseys are ugly, but to (semi) quote my fave sports movie "if your winning because your having sex or not having sex or because your wearing ugly yellow jerseys, then you are!"

Twins are still rolling, with the starting pitching leading the way. We dominated the defending champion Giants last night, with 8 straight hits that all scored. Good stuff.

And yeah, those yellow jerseys are god awful. I saw them and I wondered who was playing for a second there.

Good to hear, Shu. The Twins were in a big rut for the majority of the early season.

For a Boston fan, I have pretty strong positive feelings for them; I was ALWAYS on the Twins when I played Little League baseball XD. (I played it for a little over 10 years and was the Twins for at least 5 or 6.)

Speaking of Boston, they were another hot streak until just recently. Losing two in a row to the Padres? Come on >.>
