Could I be moved to advanced now for FE6? I could always do maps, but now that I have a decent understanding of events, I think I can handle beginner event stuff (aka the hardest part) for them.

I think i would have to be categorized between beginner and intermediate.
the main things i want help with are the following
1. getting the fe8 portrait inserter to insert without alignment issue.
(i fixed this by simply deleting all the open mouth frames, I'd rather do it the right way though)
2. How many still sprites do i need for an animation and what are the specifications of size for each one.
3. how can i use the coding to link up my own animation to a character.
once i can do those i'll just have things like the text editor to screw around with, I'm confident i can handle that though.
My email is coolyair@gmail.com
I really need a tutor, please email me if you are available.

This is the place to find a tutor to help you learn something. It's one-on-one help so they can answer your questions and guide you along. Below are the list of tutors and links to their profiles so that you can find them and contact them to get help. You don't have to get a tutor to get help though; if you just have a question or two, make a thread and somebody will hopefully respond to your question. In order to get a tutor, please PM, e-mail, or instant message them, and use that to communicate with them (or feel free to make a thread just for the two people [the tutor and the student]). There are also different levels of tutorship. Advanced includes maps, events, and other things on par with them. Intermediate includes graphics, portraits, text, and things on par wih them. Beginner includes using Nightmare, aspects of emulation, and other things. Advanced Cox21- FE6, FE7, FE8 Flyingace24- FE6, FE7, FE8 Intermediate Blazer- FE11 Felover3- FE6 Beginner Ulquiorra - FE7 Please sign up to be a tutor if you are experienced enough, but only do it if you are active enough on the forum and have enough time to help them; I don't want anybody to have to be denied a tutor for learning hacking because they are too busy, or the tutor to be too busy to ever help them. D: With that, I'm finished, so start signing up or get a tutor for you! ![]() |
I need a tutor that can help me with even hacking and such

Sorry but we're low on tutors because nobody signs up (not that I blame them, tutoring is a tough job...). You can try asking flyingace24 (AKA just Ace) but otherwise you're out of luck.

I'm new to the forum, and a total beginner with hacking FE 7 and 8. I'd much appreciate if someone could take me through some basic things using the nightmare module, and then see where I can go from there.
Things like assigning different classes to different characters, perhaps changing portraits, raising the stats of the enemies as well as the stat caps for characters and classes, giving people more weapon proficiencies, things of that nature.
I can be reached at Lumenangelus777@aol.com. Thanks very much if anyone can help me out with that.

Hmmm...I'm interested in learning how to ASM hack sometime over the next year or two. Is there anyone here with experience in ASM hacking FE7? Right now, I have no idea where to start.
I wouldn't necessarily require a tutor per se, just someone who could possibly point me in the right direction by telling me the prerequisites needed in order to ASM hack (trust me, if it even goes as far as requiring me to take some courses at some point I can probably do that). I realize this is probably one of the most difficult things to do in FE hacking, but I feel like if I could master it, it would help out in all aspects of hacking, and probably help along my knowledge of hexadecimal altogether.
Like I said, it wouldn't be a tutor type thing where I would be bugging the person a lot and asking tons of questions, it would be more of a "Read this over and learn how to do this" type thing where I would do most of the learning and experimenting on my own.

You know this topic is kinda dead but I happened to know a guy who has gotten into ASM hacking who may be able to help you. His name is Ryrumeli. He's not very active on this forum anymore, but you should be able to find him somewhere--he has AIM, but he's invisible, so you'll have to "guess and check"... haha.
You could also try FEU, but I don't think he is very active there, either.
Another man is metalpegasus, a new guy I saw at FEU. He seems to know ASM, but I don't know if he is as teacher-friendly.
Personally my ASM skills are bleh so I can't really help you there myself. XD

Signed up just to see if anyone will tutor me. (Although this is way too dead.)
Intermediate along with Using the Nightmare mods. I keep trying to change Ninian, Nils, and Merlinus into other classes, but they stay the way they are. They also don't change items when I put them in. Oh, almost forgot the big one for me, custom palette insertion.
