So. Luck flipped upside down and I ended up gettting a Dratini from Wonder Trade, caught a Bagon AND an Axew. I now have 4 hax dragons in the making. (4th is Tyrunt)

And Kirant.

I'm so well known to use Dragons that there's a Dragon Tamer in Diamond Version named after me. XD If I find a Gible. I'm catching it. XD

Route 13

First pokemon I encounter on Route 13 is a Gible. Caught it. AWWW YEAH.

And Holy crap. Goomy is OP. Seriously man. If my Pokemon is Mega Evolved and several levels higher than you, than you shouldn't be tanking my friggin hits! (It took like 5 attacks for my Megenasaur to KO it.) On a side note. My Venasaur is now a friggin TANK. Fire Fang? Pffft. He tanked that hit like a BOSS.

Yeaaah Dragons aren't *AS* op but they're still pretty good, I guess having a fairy type in your arsenal isn't a bad idea now?

I'm not very far myself, haven't had much time to play it/have chosen to play Ace Attorney instead, but it seems pretty fun. I feel like it's executed decently enough, one thing that generally bothers me in video games is my ability to "make progress" without just mindlessly playing, and I consider things like farming, grinding, simply moving in one direction, or even waiting for menus to load or battles to start etc. to be "mindlessly playing"... In other words I like to spend more time playing the game and doing unique things in it to grasp the experience and less time doing arbitrary or repetitive things or just waiting, and so far I feel like I haven't done too much of the latter in Pokemon X, which is good--I mean, it's not like emulation where you can just hit the speed bar to save time (sadly), so when it comes to playing video games in general, this is kinda important, and let's be honest, Pokemon can get pretty dull with training, catching Pokemon, etc., and I don't even do any of the fancy stuff like EV training or breeding or whatever, I play like, one pokemon game from each generation but I'm more or less a minimalist and just beat the game and little else lol.

@Arim Goodra's special defense is insane. Physical..not so much. If you were using special then that's probably why it was so hard to take down.

He mentioned Goomy in specific. Goomy's stats are about 2 steps removed from complete garbage.

The answer is basically "don't attack Goomy with non-effective special attacks in poor weather conditions".

My Venasaur one hit KO's Dragons. Lol And yeah, I specialized my Venasaur in Sp. Attack. So that might've been a factor.

Perhaps you think Venasaur sucks because you're used to fighting Charizard with it? (Because most people picked Charizard. Lol)

On another note. My Shelgon is almost lvl 50! Come on epic Dragon Flyer!

Random thought: The Skarmory I caught knew Night Slash, Air Slash, and Slash. I think it's trying to hint at something...

That was always an idea I had to make pokemon games that bit more difficult, make it more like the anime.

In the sense that if Hiker Bob only has 2 pokemon. You, the trainer, are only allowed to use 2 pokemon. Fair is fair right?

I actually agree with that notion in a sense. But then again, even when I would only use 3 pokemon that were around the same level as hers, I would still always win. ...Often without having any of my Pokemon faint. And I wouldn't use a Fire type against her Grass Starter, or things like that. Heck, most of the time I take out her Chesnaught with my Greninja. Lol With Water type moves, no less.

And if I'm supposed to be Serena's Gary Oak, then that means at the end of the game, she's going to annihilate me at the Elite Four. Lol ...And well, unlike most other Rivals, she often calls you up and lets you know that she wants to battle rather than just popping OUT OF FRIKKIN NOWHERE and challenging you when you have 2 pokemon left who have 10 HP. XD So that often gives you more chance to be ready for her.

Don't forget that Exp Share is SUPER. FRIGGIN. BROKEN. So there's even less of a chance of you not being ready for her.

So yeah, unless you purposely rigged yourself to lose, (Or if you weren't that good as a trainer, cuz hey, some trainers are more suited for Pokemon Contests.), then there's not really much chance for you to actually lose to Serena.

She got one later though... Only to have me destroy her dreams again by beating her Mega Pokemon in one hit. I have to agree, her story is extremely depressing.

EDIT - Note to self: Don't stay online while playing. I was mashing A and got ambushed with a battle. An untrained Farfetch'd, untrained Cloyster, 3 eggs, and fully trained Mewtwo were on hand. Thank god I had that last one.

Legendaries you're required to catch have a stupid high capture rate. It likely has a capture rate equal to that of those in mascot in Pokemon Black/White, 45. Typical legendaries, by comparison, have a capture rate of 3.

In other words, it's just as easy to catch as an equivalently leveled and HP Gible.

They're all bred Skarmory at level 1.

It's worse - before I remembered the Everstone breeding trick (any egg born Pokemon which has one parent holding an Everstone will ALWAYS have the nature of the parent holding the Everstone), I had 2 boxes of Inkays (trying to get an Adamant Contrarian Inkay).

EDIT - Anybody got Tyranitarite (if you're looking for it, it'll appear in the 2nd floor of the 2nd gym between 8 and 9 PM)? I'll trade the Aggronite I have.

Seriously, I don't use Aggron. Ever. I can sweeten the pot even...if you need a Protean Greninja that is (that thing is broken as hell)
