I disagree, I use vulneraries to heal while setting the user in a place where they can counterattack a lot. Easy survival.

I'm pretty sure all the archers with the S bow do more then 6 total damage to the dragon >.<

Unless I got numbers fracked again.

Lol, the dragon is pretty resilient to the S-weapons, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh wow. We're all assuming FE7. xD Maybe we should be spreading this into different games. I'll admit in FE6 you need healers, but in FE7 and Fe8 they're useless.

The unit that uses the vulnerary has no player phase. And then, even if our healer has 0 magic, it costs 3000 G to get as much out of vulneraries as we do out of ONE 600 G HEAL. Honestly, it doesn't usually make much sense to seriously train up an archer. They have bad starts and are never spectacular. The only value any GBA archers have had is utility for a few chapters until they die/become too weak to do anything.

And as for Dancers, people always say "They let a unit go again and then we get another kill!" Except if we replace the dancer with a combat unit, not only do we sill kill that enemy, but the odds are that they have far superior durability.

Dancers normally end up as dodge tanks. And that other unit might not kill the enemy, and exp is spread more thinly across the group.

And Kensai, Felover was talking about archers in FE6 earlier.

Anyways, Dancers also level up incredibly slowly. And besides that, not facing high hit rates doesn't mean you aren't ever going to die. They go from dieing, what, 60-70% of the time to dieing about 40%. I don't want to take that chance, especially when it takes me about 80 turns. And for experience for the team, units go from getting ~15% of the experience to getting 12 or 13%, and that's assuming you're going from using seven units to eight. It could easily be getting 10% instead of 11%. It's also easier to use a combat unit in a small team than a dancer because we need to protect the dancer, but the combat unit doesn't have to worry nearly as much. And as for the other unit maybe not being able to kill the enemy, what if the dancer can't reach a unit that can kill it, or if the unit that can kill it can't reach it?

There is no way that dancers are the worst unit. They're dodge tanks and allow units to attack/move again. Very helpful if you have powerful units that are out of range from attacking when your horseman are in the fray.

Also, another good thing about Dancers is that they don't take XP from the enemies, only help you concentrate on other units.

I wouldn't call them the worst definitely (archers probably have a better case than them and healers are close), but they are still far overrated. And again, if you just say that eventually after many turns of using your dancer that has poor durability and rarely, if ever, allows you to do anything that you couldn't have done otherwise, you have a unit that is getting hit ~3/8 of the time and getting killed whenever they are hit. Besides, dodging isn't reliable. If you get 5HKOed at 70% true hit and never doubled, you are guaranteed to survive 4 round of combat, and could survive infinitely. If you are OHKOed at ~40% true hit, you have no guarantee of surviving, and there's only a 36% chance of you not getting hit after two attacks, anyways. In fact, after 5 attacks, there's only a 17% chance that my other unit is dead. There's only an 8% chance my dancer's alive. And dancers have bad mobility to top it off.
And again, my other units are going from getting 15% of all the experience to 13% of it all, and that's if you're using a quite small team.

And I never said they were invincible, just that they are dodge tanks. It's better than a unit that may have low evade and just gets speared to death the next turn.

Dancers are great utility units, pretty much.

And Oblivion, I don't think he's saying they're the worst.

Silver lance Marcus does just as well against dragons in FE6 as an archer, which means that they need to be trained up a ton in order to be useful against the drackos. And again, that unit that is getting "speared to death" has only a 17% chance of that happening after 5 rounds (that kind of durability is easy late-game, especially in FE7-8) while my dancer has a 92% and is never more likely to get a number of enemies killed than my other unit. And this is at the peak of my dancers durabilty.
