Yeah, Jango's jetpack was damaged by a reek moments before he got his head chopped off. And he didn't know this, or else he probably wouldn't of tried to just shoot.

Yeah he would be. Except the fact that Han (blind) whacked Boba's jet pack and that sent him into the Sarlacc pit. Doesn't that seem a bit unrealistic?
