The graphic looks pretty nice, the render however, doesn't look to good. Try another perhaps?

Borders are win, gradients are fail, at the least the text is much better than most peoples. If it's one of your firsts then it'd not bad. If you've done a little before then it is OK but not really good or anything special.

It seems the sword's just their for momentum, and he/she's trying to kick/flip off of a person. I suggest the flip to carry the person all the way back to the start.

Using Bwdyeti's tut, i'm guessing?
Those frames are going to be a pain in the but XD

If you train your already good sense of proportion and get a better sense of shading and coloring... ...you really have great odds of being the next great customer around this forums and even FEND, congrats. :3

I had "supposedly" deleted all copies from my photobucket of the sketch I made...

One survived ._.

Now I'm coloring it... bleh...

Looks nice. I think the bright red of her eye is a bit too bright in comparison to the other colors. Her eye kinda stands out.

The right side of Sari's face, our POV, is bleh. It looks like crap. How did you not notice that. lol.

Aside from her shriveled up right hand the mermaid who afraidz 2 show her feetNinian looks pretty good. I don't feel like critiquing right now, especially because full bodies require more time to critique. lol. Looks nice.

Indeed, it's quite acceptable.

Btw, using skin tones of pre-existent FE8 characters is always a good idea, as opposed to making your own-- just letting you know in case you didn't know. I hope I'm not offending you, I'm not sure what you know about spriting is all.

It's not horrible. The end of the sword is seemingly cut off, and the sword itself is pretty short. The legs seem small compared to the body, and are at a different angle than the body.

His arms need to be more spread apart, he needs longer legs, and the sword shouldn't be so stubby for a sprite that's suppose to be like a swordmaster.

Don't expect "OHEMGEEITSAWESOME!" cause I want to help you make it better. It's off to a good start.

I'll start off with the clothes. The clothes are way too tight...she can't breath. The gloves are cutting off circulation to her hands. There is a reason they are so small.

If you notice, the dress in her OA flares out at her knees. You have it flaring out at mid-calf. Good luck moving around in that.

She is anorexic. Give her some more meat, especially in the hip area. Speaking of hips, the hips should be higher cause the torso is just too long.

Her boobs are fairly nice, except for the fact that the far one is lumpy and the boobs are too low. Raise them up. Saggy and lumpy boobs are never okay.

Like I said earlier, the hands are too small. Roughly...the hands are about the size of the face.

Her draping chestpiece is not centered with her body. Legs aren't either. You have to pay attention as to the angle of the mug. It may look like a full frontal, but it is actually turned a little.

The belt doesn't look like a belt, it looks like part of the dress. Make it look like it is actually on her, plz.

The hair...it is pretty nice, but wrong. In her OA, her hair goes down to her waist. Ninian got a hair cut apparently. Gotta finish the shading as well.

Upper arm is too long and the forearm is too short. You gotta fix that.

The sprite overall needs to be bit taller as well. She feels dwarved. And don't be afraid to add more colors where needed like in the clothes. It could make all the difference.


That is all I'll say for now. Keep up with the sprite, fix it, and get it critiqued again. Like I said, off to a good start. Just follow through.

Only freakin problem is that there's an assembly instruction in game that if you even have a SLIVER of a magic weapon level, it uses "Mode 5 or 6" (Ranged spell call) REGARDLESS of your distance to your opponent....

I guess I'm gonna have to wait for Xeld, Lawliet, or Mage Girl's patches on this... (Nintenlord's patch is private for now)

@Rey just assemble the instructions Lawliet posted. I don't think Xeld has a patch on this and I doubt he wants to make one... and I didn't know Mage Girl knew how to hack ASM... (or maybe I did know and I forgot)

Rest aside the weapon looks nice, I need to make some custom sprites for my hack and you just motivated me so thanks.
