Edit: jokes aside I'm not sure that would be enough to save the show. It's still just a guy being bounced around between monster girls who want the d(this is the entire premise. I'm not kidding, read/watch a few chapters/episodes and you'll see what I'm getting at)

short with black hair and voiced by the same guy who does kirito
WHAT WHERE HOW DID I MISS THIS
I meant cute male vampires anywhere, not in the show. Like I seriously only know like...2 and both of them are from the same card game (which has no intention of giving all of its cards detailed lores or anything.) Not counting cute male vampires that are only in my head/notes(and even then the count only goes up to 4, with one of them being a parody of the other one.)

It was obvious enough to me at the point they got as far as showing the main character in the opening.

Edit:i guess if you mean cute like bell that's gonna be a bit difficult to find though. Vampire characters are typically not that young, and extremely calm and collected. It seems like even characters who were recently turned into vampires go all calm and stuff after the initial "OH SHIT I'M DEAD" freak out.

Bell is kind of an extreme case. Like, the only character I can think of that acts younger than him is Miyauchi Renge, who is like what, in 1st grade? But face/build-wise pretty much yeah. Closest guy I can think of that's much of an actual character(compared to card game lores anyway) is Mikaela from Seraph of the End but right now he's kind of an angry yandere that hates being a vampire who only is by consequence of necessity subservient to a creepy underage-looking vampire queen(but hey at least she has twintails and a decent voice.)
Most of the time male vampires are some kind of rapey hunk which happen to have an excuse to be dangerous figures simply because of their diet. I did try to watch Vampire Knight before, and I didn't dislike the art, but for some reason it pulled off being too boring to really think about continuing, so I don't know if any guy there happens to make up for their not-particularly-cute face(but still very pretty) with adorable behavior.

That show is literally just boobs. Like it's not about anything else(12 year old zak read the manga a bit because 12 year olds are far too curious about boobs)
LOL
I saw the show on Crunchyroll and NOPE'D outta there
been NOPE'ing a lot of shows lately, but no real regrets. I don't need any ecchie stuff in my life, and Nisekoi's manga alone (I didn't watch the 2nd season of the anime) is more than enough harem for me >_>;

It's kind of amusing how much more tasteful reverse harem shows are on the fanservice. The only time they really bother to be stupid about it is when they have some excuse like swimming involved (see:Free!, which isn't a reverse harem but certainly could be if they wanted to make it one) and even then at most they go into less subtle camera angles. I would say something about it having to do with how men tend to be more interested in power(or rather, being expected to be superior to women, hence all the hype for MANLINESS) but harem leads tend to be bleh enough for that to only continue applying when the women around them are completely dumb/incompetent, and it's not as though the primary purpose of reverse harem's existence is supposed to be different (low effort, low responsibility, few dramatic consequences, all the boys/girls.) Of course, if you want to be distasteful and pander to girls, we can just take a look at yaoi and romance novels.
Anyway, God Eater and YGO continue to be the only shows that I'm really hyped about, and this week's episode on the former was actually pretty surprising. It's really strange to see how god eaters(aka monster hunters) behave when they stop having their hulking giant super-weapons and when there looks to be very real, irreversible/costly consequences on failure. I would hate having to deal with it in a game (part of why I never play roguelikes) but when I'm just watching it it seems like a very novel experience considering which expectations you would have going in.

The visuals actually kind of bother me. They have a weird outline that's both light and dark and the shading just goes out of whack sometimes on the humans. Otherwise it looks amazing though.

Finally got around to finishing unlimited budget works. Not nearly as good as I wanted it to be, but it was still fantastic. Probably an 8/10 in general. Climactic MC vs totally not the MC fight was a bit of a disappointment, but that's only because I had really high expectations for it. Had that not been the case in sure it would have been great. Other than that it definitely made use of the ungodly funding. Those animations are beautiful.

I feel like Gintama isn't as funny as it used to be. The jokes are getting more predictable or it's just going too far on the vulgarity (I mean I can stand toilet humor and dick jokes, I just can't stand direct toilet humor and dick jokes.) The serious arcs (as serious as Gintama gets anyway) are still ok but at times I have to wonder why I'm watching this, especially when the characters I'm most interested in watching don't get much screentime for them. Maybe if I had some kind of filter to get away from all the shit (literally)

In summary:taroumaru is now a zombie dog, megu-nee attacked the shovel girl who is now in the process of going all zombie, they discovered there might be a medicine to save shovel girl, and Yuki may not be delusional anymore.

Reverse harems, huh? I don't even like normal harems, so I'm good on any sort of variation or reversal or whatever, lol
I'd be down for a "what are you reading?" thread open to manga/books
as for what I'm watching... same as before
Classroom Crisis this week was pretty good but a certain "romantic" scene felt a little odd and kinda forced and cheesy and I just didn't like it, I didn't feel like that sort of relationship/chemistry was really there and it felt like a pretty big jump to me
outside of that though the episode was mostly fantastic with some real shows of character development and THAT PLOT TWISTS AT THE END, wow... so hopefully it's all uphill from here as we reach the final climactic episodes
GATE was solid, I just watched it... mostly plot stuff, wasn't a big fan of how the Rory scene played out but whatever, and the plot-line is a bit... confusing and kind of feels all over the place almost, I dunno, it's not bad, but it's a bit too fast paced for and full of characters for me. We have the main cast but even those often don't get appearances (some of them sometimes show, other times they don't or I'm not even sure what their name is anymore...), it's not really clear what some of them are doing and whatnot... and I dunno it just feels like not nearly enough time has been given to flesh out the characters and the world (we don't even have a name for the "fantasy world"). What is that old man doing, where is Furibayashi, what about all these old people again, how come Tuka and Lelei are hardly relevant, what's the deal with the inconsistencies in translating stuff, who are all of these knights of Pina... and idk I just want it to take a little more time to take a step back, slow down, flesh things out, and give a better sense of the big picture for everything right now. I'm really lacking that and as a result it's hurting my enjoyment and full comprehension of the show (which I like to have because I like to think about stuff, thinking is good... sometimes... if it's not too hard and I'm not forced to do it, lulz).
Still have Charlotte (which will probably have some crazy, possibly depressing plot twists), Gatchaman Crowds Insight (which almost never lets down), and Rokka (which will be a solid if not slightly depressing episode; sometimes I feel like this show does stuff that's just slightly weird or... something, idk, but it's pretty good overall IMO)... oh and One Piece tonight which will probably have tons of filler since the anime is too close to the manga (lol), and Toonami... bah, why is Saturday so busy with anime lol, followed by the early Sunday morning stream of anime from Toonami... I need more, you know, dispersion. Gotta spread these out instead of forcing myself to find time to watch a ton of shows >>;

Watched one punch man episode 1.very hyped for it after that. Lupin III reboot also looks pretty promising so far. Other than those two I'm really only interested in Charlotte as far as new stuff goes. And I'm only gonna check out Charlotte because it's now been suggested to me quite a few times.

On the subject of Charlotte, I just watched episode 11.
Started watching Arslan Senki, not particularly sure why I didn't earlier. It's a fantasy based on a novel (as opposed to a light novel) so I don't have to worry about high school BS. It's a shame that the vast majority of people in the show have unappealing looks(as is common for non-urban fantasy stories) but the titular mc is an 11 year old(14 as of first episode timeskip, what is this SAO) albino pretty boy SO I'LL TOLERATE IT. Also a giraffe showed up in the very first episode. DOWN WITH THE CAT & DOG PRIVILEGE. MINORITIES YEAAAAAAH

I opened one specifically for manga, but I can change the title to just "what are you reading right now?"

yup that's fine
blah blah one punch-man loool
I think people like Charlotte because it's one of those things where it subverts people's expectations in a good way, lol. people looove bandwagoning on that stuff and talking about how good it is. if a show is just good, it's not as "noteworthy" as something that seems basic but ends up being way more interesting (School-Live is also like that as far as this season goes)
as far as Charlotte's latest episode goes, while it's definitely interesting to watch I do have to agree some of that is kinda... weak, like the premise/how things happened what with the driver and his family being held hostage, it just didn't feel very compelling and whatnot for something that's such a huge problem, we don't get to see said family, hardly know anything about the driver... it's the driver's mistake... I dunno, the whole thing just feels a little weak and hard to get into because of that, but I'm trying to ignore it and just accept it as-is lol, and I think if I do that it's a pretty solid show
the other student council members feel a bit irrelevant now, Tomori just got kidnapped and Kumagami doesn't really feel like one since his real role IMO was being Shunsuke's bud, lol

First couple episodes of Charlotte finally watched. I was expecting less comedy from the description I was given, but it's enjoyable enough I guess. Might get bored with it pretty quickly though tbh.

The first several episodes of Charlotte are generally considered a waste of time. Then there's a few episodes where people get hyped over it, after which they scorn it again because bad writing. The most recent episode in particular had a lot of criticism. I personally went in expecting more comedy than what they gave us(more of that cafeteria scene sort of thing anyway) so I was disappointed on that front.
Finished watching Joukamachi no Dandelion. Things I learned about myself:
- I still dislike blood-related families even when they are presented in extremely idealized states
- The ability to essentially change everyone's age dynamics by making them younger or older than they are temporarily is not as appealing as it sounds because of the lack of genuineness
- Incest does, in fact, defeat the appeal of oneesan-type characters when in their family context
- Being an oneesan-type character to such a large family however only raises their appeal outside of said context
- IT'S AN PRETTY BLUE-HAIRED ONEESAN-TYPE CHARACTER TO THE ENTIRE FUCKING COUNTRY 10/10 WOULD ELECT AS QUEEN REGNANT, NO WONDER SHE KEPT TOPPING THE POLLS
- NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT GUY WITH KIRITO'S EYES BECOMING KING WHATSOEVER
- I have no business making political decisions (well, I already knew that though)
- Hair color takes precedence over twintails (THE MOST SHOCKING OF REVELATIONS.)
Watched Charlotte 12 today. So we're going to send the guy who is known to screw everything up if he gets too emotional all over the world alone to go and do his thing after fucking up the last time doing the same thing on a much smaller scale. Alright. I would say something about how Nao makes relationship decisions but at the rate she was saying it it's almost something like saying that he has a one in a million chance of dating her, and he's just going "So you mean there's a chance..."
