[Rennac]

Kraan, after half a day of plodding deep into the forest, finally saw what he needed. "The other..." He thought. He saw a shrine, looking on the inside like the one in the village. Kraan did not falter, but walked into the shrine and saw what he was looking for- weapons worthy of the wielder. Kraan walked inside and picked up two items, a large ebon kiteshield and a lance with a shaft of banded ebony, the head of a bloodred metal. As Kraan walked out, the guardian of the shrine, an old man, hobbled up. "Where do you think th- Ack!", as Kraan impaled him with his new lance. As kraan was walking away, he noticed a haze around his armor, and noticed that stray sticks would actively be repelled from his armor.

Victor lost Leona for a second, but then caught back up to her. Seeing another person following them, he smiled, glad to know he wasn't alone.

Kraan, finally leaving the deepest areas of the forest, decided to wait for the others... His "allies". "Ahaha... This will be... fun." Kraan started to set up a scree of leaves, preparing for an ambush.

Suoh followed Leona, wondering where she was going. The path was getting thornier and a vine of thorns hit him in the face. Suoh stumbled back and activated a boobie trap, which sent knives raining down on him.

Kraan heard the others blundering through the forest, and then a shout of pain as... Suoh? Yes, Suoh, got hit with some thorns. "The fools... Hm? Where'd those knives come from? ... Seems this place has more surprises them I thought..." Kraan thought to himself, raising one eyebrow in surprise.

[Mankut]

Blood gushed from cuts on Suoh's arms and legs. He shouted, "Wait!" Then he looked around for any other traps.

Turning to see what Suoh wanted, Victor felt a wire break on his ankle. Swiftly pulling his shields out he blocked arrows from both sides. Turning to look at Leona he said "Girl, what have you led us into? Is this one of your traps?"

Leona looked around, rather course. She said to the others, turning around, "No, my traps are more north then here actually. Anyways, my employer will meet you guys here shortly, so keep tight, and stop dying. I have to go do some other things, maybe check on you guys soon."

Leona reached into her pack, pulling out a purple bag about the size of a peanut. She reached in and pinched a little of the sky blue powder inside, threw it on the ground, and vanished out of sight.

((In reality south is out of the forest towards a town, but meh, I'll live with it.))

Kraan saw Leona disappear, then walked up to the others, cutting the traps he detected with his dagger. "Heh... So who was right now, guys? Hm?" Kraan paused for a moment, exultant in his gloating, then called Joshua's horse."Let's go. If we stay... We'll be dead before this night is out, probably." Kraan then slung Suoh over his shoulder, and motioned to the others to follow him back through the forest in the direction of the shrine.

Joshua shook his head. "Just give me a clear shot at someone I know is an enemy...." He muttered to himself. "This whole crap about who I need to follow..." He spat on the ground. "Ill follow you, Kraan, but if this turns out to be a conspiracy between you and that girl...." He motions with his bow threateningly. "And my horse's name is Jade'din. Odd, that Leona never bothred to learn my name.... I figure shell find a way to contact us if it's important."

[Rennac]

"If you doubt me, go. Go back to where you were. You should see where they take you. An arena, where all of the captured people... or morphs... fight endlessly. You can go back if you want. You wouldn't last a minute in there. I need allies, and if you won't stay with me, I have no use for you."

[Hughes]

"What?! I wouldn't last there?" Joshua snapped. "Those buffoons couldn't even get near me! I used to thrive off arena's like that; I only left cause it was no challenge! It was a waste of their life while I gained nothing but a bit if coin. Pick a target, Kraan. In this forest, there's nothing too far away for me to hit." He nocked one of his makeshift arrows. Go ahead. Any target you can see from where your standing now.

((LOL were just talking with Souh over your shoulder!))

"Heh... Don't get all riled up. You can prove your aim in battle... But not yet. Going up against these forces would be suicide. I know, because... I was the captain of the king's royal guard. But that's... in the past." Kraan grimaced. Fighting dozens of elite morphs, each nearly as powerful as him at his full potential, would be suicide with only two men ready to fight, plus himself.

Victor looked at the blood dried around Kraan's face like a helmet. Hoping Kraan did not realize what had happened, he started following him, wondering if anyone was ever going to pay him.

[Rennac]

Kraan and the others finally reached the shrine, then he stopped in front of it. " This is the place. Joshua, inside there you will find... A bow. Victor... You've been wanting payment, eh? Inside here, you'll get your payment. Suoh... He has the blade he needs." Kraan walked away after this, going into the house next to the shrine to take the supplies of the guardian that he killed.

Wandering nearby, Nagafen sighed and ruffed his hair a bit, the light brown strands drifting in front of his eyes. The Amour Knight offered a slight growl to these annoying tufts, but it was his own fault keeping it this length. He growled and looked around.

Where was he again?

How odd. A forest, and yet he had just kept meandering through. And what appeared to be a shrine was in front of him. How odd. His blue armour tinted dully in the dim light beneath the tree's, and his Iron Lance stood slung behind his back.

Leona walked to the now-empty part of the forest, now accompanying an elderly man wearing armor that seemed ancient in form. Leona shook her head and muttered, "What am I going to do about these guys?"

The old man stuttered, "Where are your friends dear? I wished to meet them soon!"

Leona picked up the old man and put him on her back, "Don't worry Roe, we will find them sooner or later, they can only have gone so far. Perhaps we should go to the nearby shrine to ask the guardian."

With that, Leona started walking towards the direction of the shrine.
