[Hughes]

Joshua strung up his bow with a fresh string and tested it with a twang. He checked the arrows in the quiver at his back, and grimiced. He was low, but that'd just mean every shot had to drop a morph. He nocked an arrow and selected an archer as his target. He pulled back and loosed in one motion, and the archer fell to the ground, an arrow in his shoulder. Not a perfect shot, but he was rusty after all. He began to smile as he nocked and loosed another arrow, this was excellent practice. After a second, three more archers joined the first. All archers,and if they weren't dead, they'd definantly not be shooting an arrow back at him anytime soon.

[Rennac]

"Haa... Haaa... Hyaaa!" Kraan yelled as he lunged out towards a cavalry morph, stabbing him in the side. Suddenly, a torrent of fire flew past him, bareley missing him. Kraan turned around and saw a mage casting fire spells left and right.

[BAZ]

Hearig the warning calls Kratos dismounted and turned to face the threat. He left the bag with the horse and moved forward, not unsheathing his blade yet but instead looking at the enemy. It bothered him that they were in a defensive formation. Against so few a defensive formation was a waste of manpower and time. He looked at his fellow fighters. Joshua's first shot wasn't a kill shot, the assassin of the group was motioning for a retreat and Suoh was trying to fight the mage, who Kratos believed was leading the group.

Looking again at the formation an uneasy thought crossed his mind. 'Is this really it or...' Kratos shook his head. He couldn't think of worse if there was no sign of something else. He unsheathed his massive sword and made for one end of the formation, keeping his blade level ready to strike if one cavalier decided to charge.

As Victor was running full tilt he saw a town in sight, getting closer he was relieved to see that it was an old fort, barely any wood inside, and made out of stone. Slowing down and walking through the archway he realized it was abandoned, and exploring the castle he realized it was still well kept, probably only abandoned recently. He walked along the walls, and saw a lake and a port near one side of the castle, and said "Great! I can lead a group of pirates from this castle without having to sail!" He then went to the guard-tower near the port, and closed the gate for now. He then circled around to the front gate, taking note that there was only two gates to the entire castle. As he was about to close the front one too, he saw an assassin type hide behind some trees and throw some knifes in the opposite direction. Yelling out "Do you need some help?" as loud as he could, he watched and waited for an answer.

"Wha?" Kraan said, an unfamiliar voice calling, asking if he needed help. "Uh... Sure!" Suddenly a ballista bolt flew into the tree he was hiding behind, and it shattered and flew all over. "Ahhh! There goes my cover... We need to retreat. Could you try to get into the fort?" Kraan asked of the strange pirate man, then running over to tell Suoh and the other two new guys.

The strange pirate man let out a scared laugh and yelled "I am already in the fort! Run in and I'll close the gate behind you." Then on second thought, he yelled "Do you have any teammates that need to get in too?"

[Rennac]

"Yeah, I'll try to get them in. Could you try to cover me while I run over to them?" Kraan waited, wondering what this new ally would do.

Victor looked down at the gate wheel, and yelled back "Okay! But someone else will have to close the gates." Victor ran down the stairs, and out to the middle of the battle. Running to a spot without trees, he charged in, knocking back a few morphs with his shields.

[Mankut]

"Damn", Suoh said as another blast of fire narrowly missed him. He charged the mage again but the mage pulled out two tomes. "Excalibur! Aura!!", Gralagin yelled. Excalibur caused the flame to triple in size, and they continued to grow. The force caused the doors to be ripped off their hinges. Aura started destroying the fort. The ceiling was cracking and the walls collapsing. Suoh was carried by the wind and slammed into the wall. Blood started dripping and he felt woozy. He knew he had broken his arm and leg, and he had a giant cut on his head. He also thought that he might have several fractures. The last thing he saw was all the flames rushing towards him, white hot, and the Aura close behind. "Farewell" was the last thought in Suoh's head.


((Don't try to save Suoh. He may survive or he may not. And we need someone to RP an ally mage.))

Joshua was circling around the fort as it began to burn, shooting arrows left and right. Every shot put a man on the ground, and he cursed himself for it. Back only a half a month ago, each shot would've been a killing one. There'd be nothing for it but to get better.

Too late he saw one of his new comrades on the ground, bleeding, and about to be engulfed in flame. Instead of rushing to help him, he sought out the enemy mage and found him easily. He drew back an arrow and loosed, the shot going right for the man's eye. he pumped a fist in the air, then lowered it as the arrow burned in midair,and the arrowhead dropped to the ground. "Dam!" He thought. "We need a counter mage or something!"

Victor sliced and diced the morphs with his shields, hitting unbelievably many. When he jumped back, he realized he hadn't gone through the armor of more than the first two his charged. Seeing one of the men drop near the mage, and an arrow be burned, he ran towards the mage. At the last second he whipped one of his shields, reflective side up towards the mage. The mage was hit by his own fire as he melted the shield, and fell back. Victor grabbed the man, and began to ran back to fort.


((Either Suoh or a morph, decide where you want to die, if you do.))

Kraan saw the new pirate ally pick up a fallen figure, and Kraan ran to tell the other two to either try to get in the fort or to escape into the forest. "We need to get the hell out of here! We can't hold them forever! There are probably going to be more coming!"

[Hughes]

Joshua heard the call and shot out another arrow without taking notice. He drew to reload... only to find his quiver empty. "Dam!" He cried. "I'm out! We gotta ride!" His horse already danced with fear at the enemies getting so near, and all the fire. Joshua patted it's neck and whispered into it's ear a bit,; hopefully the thing wouldn't pass out soon. Definantly not a war trained horse. "Let's go!"

Gralagin's face was burned, nothing serious. He watched as Suoh burned, raising the heat of the flames just for fun. As he spun around, he saw a pirate and thief attempt to get behind a tree. Gralagin directs all his flames to the tree and orders his ballistea to fire and his cavalry to charge. The infantry would follow the cavalry. Gralagin smirked. This battle would be over soon. To end it quicker, he caused the rocks from the fort to rush the tree and he caused the forest to burn. He had trapped them. Now all he had to do is watch.

((Only problem with that is the pirate won't go anywhere near trees. Also, guess he didn't grab Suoh,))

Seeing some rocks fall off the fort, Victor yelled "No! Not my pirate fort!" and ran inside. Putting the person down, he ran to where he thought the armory was from before, and then out again and over a room. Grabbing a metal shield, but keeping a safe distance from the spears, he came out again, ready for battle anew.

((How the hell are we going to live this time? Too many losing battles. :/ Our tactician sucks.))

Kraan, falling behind the tree, thought. "This... This is pointless. I'm leaving... Now." Kraan then broke cover and dashed away, into the forest, his cape singed and his morale nonexistent.

(man what a mess to come into. Since no one has attacked me and quite a lot has happened I'm going to show the aftermatch of a small skirmish with 4 cavalier knights who broke formation. As for the rest....I'm going to try something unorthodox something first)

Kratos rested his sword down on the ground, having just slain the final cavalier who had tried to attack him after he provoked them by killing one of their own when he attacked their formation. Three of them had advanced towards the mercenary, forcing him to pull back. However, looking at the current chaos Kratos was thankful for their moment of bloodlust.

Surveying the area he realised that there wasn't a practical and safe retreat. He can jump through th fire if need be but he would be in bad shape should he need to defend himself. And now the morphs had broke formation and were attacking those who had yet to flee, with a few troops charging Kratos after watching him slay their fellow morphs. And beyond them stood their leader, watching, thinking he had won. Shoving his doubts to one side the mercenary readied his sword for more bloodshed. Two Cavaliers advanced on him, both leveling their lances at him. He waited till they pulled back their weapons back to thrust forwards, then he rolled to the left, moving to a posistion where the lances couldn't reach him. He then swung his sword into thehorse as it passed him, making another mount fall that the other three did before this recent victim.

He quickly finished off the fallen horseman and grabbed his lance. He disliked the weapon but it would be needed for this ploy in his head. Moving towards the remaining cavalry knight, he leveled the point at the rider and charged into him, piercing the rider's neck with a lucky shot. The horse, now carrying a dead rider, began to panic. As it faced the oncoming soldiers Kratos hit the rear of the animal with the flat face of his blade. The horse went on a mad charge through the soldiers, who scattered from the beserk mount, and galloped in the direction of the mage.

(Long shot, yes, but humour me. I had to try to go for something crazy. Though if this Fails I will have to make Kratos retreat through the flames.)

((That is true. :/ We seem to go against monsters way too strong for us, and then godmod last minute to save ourselves.))

(that's cause we end up against godmod enemies. Only fair that we godmod just to escape and live so that we can actually have a chance to turn this around)
