To be fair, I'm a cashier at a chain store. This was my first job, and I picked it up when I was 18, so my pay's juuust a bit over minimum wage. I'd have tried for something sooner, but I don't drive yet because of reasons outside my control and we live in the most rural town that Steven King did ever write Cthulu into. Heck, I can only work here because my mom works just down the street and I hitch rides off her.
