GameFAQs can actually be a decent place when the game is niche enough and not brand new. Though that suffers from the same userbase problems, and more importantly, it's even further restricted to being on-topic about the game. I've heard of old boards nobody cares about being used as social boards and those receiving intervention via mods or something.
Also GFAQS has a user ignore (hides all posts and topics made by said user) function. I have over 30 people on it ever since I went on the MH4U boards there LOL

Yeah I don't remember anything so it's water under the bridge or however the saying goes, it's possible we argued over something briefly but I don't remember anything to be upset about/I don't have any hard feelings and I don't remember the last time we talked but... has it really been 5 years? Because man that's a long time and I've changed a lot since then anyhow, haha.
@Tenebrae yeah true and that user ignore function sounds really nifty (I've been on the GFaqs boards on several occasions for various reasons, it has its uses, but I've never had to use that as I'm not active enough for me to warrant it lol).

I also share the sentiment of wanting this site to stay afloat. I've been here for almost 3 years so I've become pretty attached to this place.
Though Blazer has my contact info, if anyone else ever wanted to drop me a message you could find me at my youtube
I don't really have any great ideas on how to get people to join. All I can really think of is trying to be active and welcoming because we have had people join in our dead period and leave probably because of the non-existent activity. Though this wouldn't really solve anything and probably at most just keep this place afloat.

^I think that's a start, we need a set of like 5-6 if not 8-10 active members that are keeping threads going so that other people can pop in when they feel like it and slowly feel more and more welcomed and invested
The problem is we don't have that anymore, the vets kinda dropped and pretty much everyone started lurking a bit more >_< (myself included)

I don't know what happened, but I do know a little of how FEE was back then, and it's not nearly as bad now. Sure it's basically the same people, but if you don't take them seriously it's a great place. They're pretty cool about not blasting people if they'll be offended by it. Basically what I'm saying is it has changed a lot. Not saying there aren't trolls anymore, just that it's now all in good fun rather than to get rid of someone they don't like.

that was almost 5 years ago and I was clearly just upset at the moment, it probably wasn't even that big of a deal
and I don't think the beef had anything to do with Dave personally

Post whatever you feel. I mean, I tend to treat forums as fairly segregated places...some things I tend to post on one forum that I'd never post on another (ex - I typically don't make serious or news heavy topics on this forum anymore).
