You can't go around yelling that phrase just because someone doesn't like MLP, and then criticize them for NOT liking it, because then you aren't LOVING and TOLERATING their DISLIKE of what you like. You don't see me raiding Anti-Pokemon or Anti-TF2 or Anti-Homestuck sites because BAAAW YOU DON'T LIKE IT. Seriously, grow a pair you ****ing assholes. Yes, saying that makes you a complete ****ing hypocrite, and yes, being a hypocrite is like giving me permission to RIP YOUR BALLS OFF. Oh yes, and drawing pony porn is like cartoon bestiality. Just sayin'. Don't give me this "IT'S MY FETISH" bullshit because the only ****ing difference is that they're drawn out and not photographs. I've seen pics of human characters downright ****ING the ponies and people still claim it's not bestiality! If that isn't bestiality I don't know what is. No, I don't have respect for people who get off to horses and want to **** them. Of course I'm not referring to everyone who likes it, but it is incredibly overwhelming how many people are actually like this. The less morally disgusting parts of the fandom such as posting pony memes everywhere and "pony-fying" is irritating at best for me - the former annoys me for the same reason memes annoy me, and the latter annoys me for the same reason why Ken Sugimori imitators annoy me. It's just overdone unoriginal crap with the same theme. Bottom line, I feel sorry for my sane friends who happen to be a part of it.

Finally someone besides me says it. Most everyone here likes Pokemon despite the target audience but if someone likes ponies oooooooooooooooh thats different. No, it isn't.

Now to defend my stance on being a brony.

I don't go around looking for people who hate the series to start shit. They come to me. I keep posting ponies as a show that I will not be silence and trampled on, not because I'm trying to force it on anyone.

I personally haven't drawn any pony porn. And you can't damn a whole fandom for what some extremists do. I see you're a homestuck fan. No doubt you heard the drama of homestuck fans PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING a girl by throwing FULL PAINT CANS at her for not liking Homestuck. But I'm not attacking you for being a hate filled homestuck fan. I can appreciate that not everyone is on the extreme side of the fandom, and I expect others to give me the same courtesy. Yea some bronys might by hypocrites and forget the main message but I'm not going around screaming "love and tolerance" at everyone all the time. I just try to remind myself of that when I get mad.

As for the ponyfying, no sooner than I originally left this site and went back to tumblr, I found a post of Homestuck-fied Batman characters. But again, no one seems to bitch and moan about that. Its the bronies getting the bad rap. Like always.

As for your last post I was never butthurt about anything, and insulting me is not making you look like your arguement is anymore right. And since you think our fandom has big problems, I'll just repeat what I said earlier about Homestuck fans chucking paint cans at a harmless girl for not being a fan. Thats all. I'm done.

From a person who genuinely doesn't care about the series: It does get annoying at times, but that's the line I stop at. The problem isn't that the show itself is bad or that the group collectively is bad, but the combination of size and general existence of vocal minorities becomes problematic.

The fanbase is too large to work this nicely. The same way we all got tired of Skyrim "Arrow in the knee" jokes (or just didn't find them funny to begin with), a lot of people get tired of these "Pony" memes. If you're not a fan or particularly didn't like the meme in the first place, it gets tiresome. I know this site isn't too bad, but I frequent a few sites where users constantly put up pictures of ponies and throw them into every other post they make. Again...it's not intentional on their behalf: They're just expressive. However, as an outsider to the culture, it's an unusual trend. It's similar to how anime is frequently treated: to an outsider, it kind of resembles tentacle-rape-magical-girl-Pokemon-ninja-pirate with characters that don't see out of place when compared to Lolita, yet an insider would define it as more. If you dropped a clueless person onto an anime site, they'd get lost with the similar feeling I get when I get thrust into a pony-filled forum. What does that meme mean? Why is it popular? Why does everybody care about this rainbow coloured pony (that was so requested by programmers that I had to edit a code at work for a game to let you PLAY as one instead of a car!)? A meme to an uninformed crowd isn't funny. Unless you were there when it popped up, saying "Amberlamps" might not mean anything and just seem awkward (of course, it being a short life cycle meme, also died quick).

Vocal minority is a concern for anything large I'm sure we all understand how it works: Statistically deviant extreme opinion goes on rampage, makes everyone look bad. No need to cover that.

Honestly though, it's not worse than most other overused memes. I guess the difference being, other memes eventually die, while this show is currently ongoing and creates more memes to work with. That might be a source of venting by non-fans as well.

By no means is it a cancer I think. There's no way I see it enveloping the internet. It's just another large expressive group with a constant meme base to pump stuff out of, regardless of what non-fans actually comprehend.
