Sorry, I don't take a liking towards cocky people who think they're the shit. Also, look past the insults, I've easily outsmarted him.

I forgot that I had posted the stray pixels, I thought you were referring to Blazer. Anyways, you disregard everything else, the only thing you commented on was the white background which you defended.

But all you did was say they are recolors, look retard, have anatomy problems, and bad colors. You didn't suggest what would be better, you didn't specifically say, you just very generally, and very rudely, threw out some things.

It's quite easy to conclude what to do.
Do something other than recolors, don't make them retarded by studying other mugs then fixing them, and pick FE colors/better colors. See, easy.

Okay, this has gone long enough Bloodfalcon. If you don't shut up right now I'm doing whatever the hell I feel like, which is really close to a ban. This guy's been putting up with your insults for a while and clearly doesn't want your comments. Also, telling my members to get off my forum REALLY isn't welcomed. If I don't want them here, trust me, I'll kick them off. Speaking of that, I don't want you in this topic. So leave. Even if you have something good to say the pros of you talking are definitely outweighed by the cons.

EoD, sorry for the issues, do be careful about what you say though so you don't give any bad impressions. Your topic title could be seen as a little braggy since it says 'some good sprites here', and people on the internet tend to be sensitive in general to the smallest of adjectives. :\

I honestly have to admit it, but Blood Falcon is right in saying that KK needs to absorb the critic to make himself better. I myself am an average spriter and I say that being generous to myself and these sprites....well, they need a lot of work. But, I digress.
Here are my issues with the sprites:
1) Colors are ridiculously bright, like I seriously have trouble looking at some of them.
2) Too much pillow shading. (Ex: Meredith)
3) Have a non-white background. Nuff said.
4) Kendra makes my eyes bleed.
5) A lot of the clothing doesn't shade correctly with the head. (Ex: Illryia)
6) Why are there so many more Enemies than Playable? Herpderp
7) Daisy, Dahlia and Daffodil make me want to punch babies...I hated them in FE6. Still do. They are just recolors anyway.
8) I wouldn't call this critic, but I hate the animal ears on the sprites, I think it just looks dumb....why do people even do that? Maybe if laguz characters could be plugged into an GBAFE then maybe...but ewwwww.

You guys have some legitimate points that if he wants to become a good spriter he should really address, but it's mixed in too much with vague criticism, general opinion, and insults.

Speaking as a spriter with two and a half years of experience. Your work still has a ways to go.

You don't make a couple of the obvious beginner mistakes like sprites being disproportionate or full of pillow shading. And you show creativity and willingness to do some custom work which is always nice. But a lot of your stuff is rough, has incorrect or flat shading, or are very obvious splices(this is not always the worst thing, but splices are at their best when its hard or impossible to recognize things).

When splicing a head take eyes, nose, mouths, and sometimes eyebrows from different sprites and edit them to fit together. Also you'd do well to use a hairstyle from a different sprite than the base of the head. Also you can use custom details. Like tattoos, scars, eyepatches, piercings, etc.

Also remember that sprite shading is defined by a light source and the darker colors are used for depth and detailing when shading. And good contrasting helps.

I appreciate all the criticism, and I will work on these issues, but I must say, I'm not really putting effort into the enemies, unless they're important to the story, like Desstroi and Eve. :/

Well... it doesn't seem... well... complete.

It feels like you started going in the right direction... but just stopped. So I wouldn't call it failure... seems more like laziness :/

It's not done~ But honestly, I don't know how to make this any better. Everything I try, like making the bang separations longer, ends up making it blech. And the middle of the hair just gives me an...empty feeling.

for the bangs I suggest referencing Karla or Lute

I also suggest you lighten up on the part if you're going for brighter/less detailed shading. Natalie is a good example.

Also you might want to play with the face a little more and change the hair color so Tate wont show up as much.

I think the lines are too... uniform? Yeah but admittedly hair is hard so I'd definitely reference someone.

Do you know what it's supposed to look like? Or are you just kind of winging it?
