Well, I got tired of battle sprites so I back to normal sprites.

The hair isn't very creative, but I might go back later and change it up. Most importantly how does the snake look?

Let me know when you get it done. I like the idea of having the story involve our world too.

...Get what done?

In other news, a new animal! Well, bug. It's a scarab. With a priest. But I still need to change the priest's face.

So, which palette looks best? Also, any ideas on how to make it look like it's clinging to his shirt?

Hmm..bottom right one looks best to me. As for the bug the only thing I could think of is to have the scarab more on his chest/shoulder area than just his shoulder. That way you get to draw more of the scarab =p

Basically finished scarab man. Had to switch some stuff around to make him hack insertable (I actually have him sheeted on my computer already)

Then...... KAPOW!

Still an early wip. I referenced the parrot from one of Mariobro's sprites that I think
j e a l o u s y touched up. I still need to splice out all of legault's features and then some new clothes on, but he's going to be the base due to his awesome angle for the falcon. Oh yeah, it was originally based on a peregrine falcon, but I need to add some stuff to it to make it more like that. Probably going to change the colors before I'm through too.

Not sure why but I'm really enjoying doing these animals. Very gratifying. Probably not really helping my abilities, but they look cool.

Well, I worked a lot more on the falcon guy and got kinda a first draft. Not sure I like it all that much cause you can't see much of his hair and his hair was really nice... But here it is.

Kay, so this is a family (Why all the colors are so similar), the mom isn't completely formatted yet and I still need chibis for all of them. The kids name is Jacob and I don't really like his hair, I'll probably change that later. But they're basically finished so any critique would be awesome.

The forehead shading of the first one is kind of lacking IMO, and she has a straight hair line at the top which just seems unusual.

I think the second one might have a giraffe neck but I'm not so good with that kind of thing so it's only a vague possibility >_>

The third one's hair looks kinda poorly shaded, though it might be the original hair's fault.

Nice family in general though, keep up the work, oh and I liked the bird in the previous mug you posted in the previous post XP

Reminds me of Dess, this one guy who loves birds...

Yea, totally agree with you on the forehead. I went and checked it out, I'mma have to reference some other stuff cause her hair line is very straight I'm not sure how to shade it.

His neck might be a bit long, but I feel like i'd make it worse if I tried to fix it, haha.

Yeah, pretty sure it was the original hair's fault, but that mug is only going to be in the game for not even an entire level.

Speaking of which... Here is the kid's older form (it's literally just a recolored version of the snake guy with slight changes in the hair and face) and the class that goes with him.

He's an armored mage class, high defense and magic but seriously slow speed. If I can figure out how (without using fe8) I'm going to try and give him to possibly evolutions, one less aggressive.
I've started framing them out and I'm wondering which would be cooler for the second form critical, either the guy will stick his arm out horizontally, then lift it vertically and a giant skull will appear, then he casts. OR he'll raise his arm horizontally, then grab the bone dagger spike thing and make an X in the air with slashes, then he casts when he slashes horizontally with it. Which would be cooler?

Edit: removed Ecut's pieces

I started framing them out and I wanted to see what other people thought so far. I'm almost finished with the main attack for the promoted mage but the prepromote I still need to add a lot to.

The motion blurs aren't great but they're better than I normally am at them. I haven't finished the last motion blur at the end of the promoted class yet.

Edit: Removed ecuts pieces.

I am not okay with this.
You stole from me which you should not do.
First post(under battle sprites): http://serenesforest...opic=23781&st=0 (not advertising).
Perhaps my Abyssm class looks a tad familiar?

Why not blow it up?

I hardly feel the need to point out what parts you used.

Oh, and, I've already reported this for you.
I must say that I am not impressed.
And just a bit of advice: spriters can recognize their own work.

I apologize, but please let me explain. I work a lot with my younger brother, he'll usually make the standing sprite and I'll animate it (he came up with most of the classes I've made) so when he gave me that one to animate I figured it was just another one he made. I realize that doesn't really excuse us, but I personally had no idea that it was someone else's and I would never steal someone else's work.

Well perhaps you should notify your brother. As it stands, I have no power on this forum so there is nothing I can do but hope that the staff deals with it accordingly.
All I have to say is just don't do it again and please completely redo your promoted class without the use of any parts of my sprites and remove the current one from your thread. Thanks kindly and happy spriting ~

Shu here just letting everyone know that the staff is aware of the theft of eCut's sprites here on FES.

Normally bans could be handed out for this kind of thing, but I will be giving Sea Lion the benefit of the doubt being that he has no history with theft (as far as I can tell), he has an excuse and he's removed the stolen material. However I strongly urge him to be much more careful in the future, and perhaps review his other works to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Big thanks to eCut for giving us the heads up on this, and we apologize.

So yeah, hopefully this will just be water under the bridge. Peace out.
