And nice music, by the way. It could use some touching but it's not bad. Oh and Lundgren!Myrmidon is pretty lulzy.

And nice job with learning how to insert music, too. XD

So, I downloaded and played this patch yesterday, until the end of Chapter 6. Quality-wise, it's very well done. However, I think that the actual gameplay is very boring, because the maps are just too big and enemy density too low. I think it would be a lot better if the enemies got their stat boosts removed and replaced with just more enemies, or have the maps get smaller.

This is a personal gripe, but some of the character's names are really dumb. Mainly 'Kolbane', and 'Furetchen', though some others are also extremely wierd. Unless these guys are on a last-name basis, would some medievil European honestly give such wierd names?

Otherwise, this is looking like a nice project. The only major things that need to be changed are map size and enemy density/stats. Keep up the good work. smile.gif

Also, Crowe is awesome. Everything about him. He's like a blue-haired Rifis with a bow. happy.gif

Speaking of Crowe, how is it pronounced? Crowe like Cow or Ow? or Crowe like Crow but with an extra silent 'e'?

I think it's pronounced like 'crow', but with a silent 'e' to make it more exotic or something. Though really, the names in this hack are ridiculous; Crowe sounds normal by comparison.

First, I'm not at chapter 15, chapter 15 is just where I start hacking the other route, since there are two routes. I wish I was that fast

Yeah, if you look at my LP, you'll see that I fixed that, and whenever I release the next patch, some early game chapters should be fixed.

^And ouch, that was pretty harsh... but I do have to agree that 1) characters names should be what people want them to be, even if it's not "fitting" or "appropriate", and 2) the names ARE kinda weird, like Salmon said, but 3) that the setting doesn't call for any specific genre of names, so it's fine =P.

Anyway, I still don't get the chapter 15 thing... so... what chapter are you on, then? And why did it say chapter 15? And how do these "routes" work?

The hack has a route split, kinda like FE8.
Only you stick with Renair and you find one of the lords on one route, and the lord on the other route joins you later.
I started hacking 1 route starting on chapter 7-13, then the other to Chapter 14-20, or so.
Needless to say, I'm gonna need to expand the chapter limit of FE7.

Though the updated screens look real good. The one guy in the second shot looks a lot like Arthur.

wtf brown skinned people? this is crazy

The little lightning sparks coming off of the thunder sword icon don't look right... I'd guess that with the limited palette (and space), it's just hard to make it look good >__>

Oh and a level 3 mercenary with 27HP is kinda hax =P

Hmm, split route sounds interesting, and you saying you're going to need to expand the chapter limit is kind of... scary. Wait, you do know that there are a bunch of "event chapter" slots past the final chapter, right? You know, the ones you see in my "ChapterDataEditor Alternate" (which gets rid of dropdowns and lets you see the extra chapters, IIRC)? Because it goes to like 0x40 chapters which is like 64 chapters or something (guessing). So you have more than 60 chapters (including cutscene maps)? Daaang

Hahah that's an interesting thought Salmon, it'd be sick if this game had names and skills based off of them.

Furetchen would etch an arrow into someone's heart, negating defense.

Astra would do Astra (5 attacks).

Renair would rend the air into a slash of wind and use it to do double damage (obviously this skill would happen more than other skills since it's not as epic XD)

The animation's a bit choppy and has some other issues (is that what you meant by timing? or did you mean the VBA sound desync issue?), but it's fine as it is.

Good job though, and it's nice to see someone else implementing custom animations, even if they are just edits off of other common ones (I consider MK's halberdier common just because it's been used so much >___> ... granted it's awesome but still XD).

Timing=choppiness, yes. I just sped all the frames up. The version of VBA I have has a fix for the recording desync.
