Class growths don't do anything in FE8, iirc.

K so yea Amelia's growths dont change based on her class then lol. I mean I took her to 10/20/20 Knight/General and she had 18 def O_o

The thing which classes have is base stats. And characters have their own base stats, and those are the ones which sum. But growths are attached to each character. It could have been like you said, I would have liked it like that, but...nope, sorry. >___<

There has to be some connection, it can't just be generic units. Why else would the trainee classes have growth stats?

There isn't. The growths are used for enemy levels in chapters for generic enemies.

Yea I mean think about it. If you added character growths and class growths then EVERYONE would be broken, including Failwood. Maybe trainee has growths because you can't leave them blank. Plus in my for fun hacks I made trainees generic enemies in early chapters.

Meh say PEMN all you want but when I lvl Lyn to 20/20 she is beast. Because of how late Failwood changes classes I never get him to 20/20. I'll admit that a high lvl Eliwood with Durandal does a lot of DMG but I still like Lyn more. ((Mostly cuz shes hawt and Eliwood is not))

And Eliwood is perfectly attractive to guys as well. As is Geoffrey in FE10.
