Supports need to return! Generic boring characters that do not add to the storyline needs to go! Lords must stay otherwise FE won't be as challenging... but maybe if the Lords were more like Leaf instead of Ike nowadays...

Well I'd like to see more skills that are actually usable by the player instead of by chance. Other than that I'd also like to see a kind of squad system, kinda like in Soul Nomad. Also I think that if the game did have replay then you should be able to make the enemies stronger or class up.

Well, making the skills more balanced per unit is also helpful.

bring back the mount/dismount idea, but let the mounted/unmounted units keep lances and swords, but limit the weight allowed (like on foot any sword can weigh anything, but a lance must weigh 5 or less, and 1 extra allowed per 5 str) and on the horse javelins and any weight sword or lance may be used (no javelins on foot)
give a few units like freelancers (or chameleons, depending on where you played fe11) who can use certain weapons, depending on what you assign them at the beginning of each level.
Keep the SS rank weapons, but with that, make it EXTREMELY hard to reach that weapon lvl, so that if 2 weapon styles are available for that unit, it would take a lot of concentration on that, but then give them access to rare weapons that give around 18-25 MT per weapon and stat bonuses as well as high critical rates, and the SS rank gives you a +20 crit, and +5 damage itself
give a lot more challenge to the game, so that more strategy is required. i have played fire emblem (the ones that are NORMALLY in English) so many times that i know what to expect (except on hard which is pretty hard on FE7 hector, FE11 H5, FE10 Hard)
add more enemy units and increase their stats
make gold harder to obtain, and make items more expensive(other than iron)
add defensive items, but lower character natural defense
continue with the "continue fighting" option in the arena (like on FE11)
randomize placement of enemy units and stats, but within a certain range
decrease amount of units you get (as this makes it TOO easy with so many)
tough final bosses (Ashera was pretty tough, but not tough enough)
bring back fatigue like from FE5, but make it to where the unit CAN join in any battle, but you get a choice:
-weakened (wears off)- if chosen to bring into start when fatigue bar filled in last chapter
-late arrival- come in with regular stats, but comes in in around 3-5 turns
ban wifi cheaters, but leave wifi
customizable lords- give weapon choices and color choice(for armor) and edit growths at the beginning (with a start of 5% growth, and a growth range of 200% so you can add that to any stats(say magic is at 5%, then you can give it 95% and make it a 100% growth, then you have 100% growth to apply left out of your original 200%) and choose starter stats (gettinig 15 points, and 0 points starting in all stats then yu apply 3 to str, so yours tarting str would be at 3 and then you have 12 "edit points" left to spend
weapons keep individual styles (like in FE 9 and 10)
return to GBA graphics on the DS (DS graphics were neat but i liked the GB ones better)
keep weapon forge
keep bonus xp, but make it harder to obtain, and return it to the 1bonusxp gets 1 xp (lolz like in FE9)
name characters (some who you can pull out of a village or something based on stats, growth and looks, then you can name them)
make ALL characters important to the story. in FE1 / 11 (possibly 2) your characters are just there to help you, but hardly help the story at all
return multipart chapters
make multiple part chapters more difficult, such as capturing a castle, defending it for a certain amount of time, then moving on to the next where you must capture it, then clear the enemies from it. ONLY on SOME chapters
make it to where your lord or an important person must sit out on some chapters (like nils on chapter 21 eliwood side where he was unconcious(but he wasnt used anyway))
better support
i have gotten to the point where i can just play along and use no strategy whatsoever other than the weapon triangle and such, but no planning, and turn almost any bad situation into a good one. but i can now make spur of the moment desicions (like when i first played FE but i dont suck like i did back there, where i lost lyn alot on chapter 4 AND i was afraid to use lords cause i thought they would die, even when in the BEST situation possible) ( fe 4 breaks this rule as i dont know what the HECK is about to happen
could add more but this is already long enough

-Fe78910Rawsum: "But why would Women lower themselves to our level?"
-Dragon: "That's a very good point."
