[Holy Kensai]

Pleased that the racially confused being was dead, Alark gathered his two swords, and put them both onto straps on his back. Wondering if his mind was physical enough for the squid-man to control it, he waited for orders to move out.

The group traveled along the trail, about halfway through the journey, going through a rock area, Grognar heard the sound of footsteps off the trail. He drew his weapon.

"ATTACK!" Was yelled from the side, a group of about 6 goblins ran out, all wielding pick axes. Each with the intent to kill and steal.

Rules of Combat


1.) In combat, a random posting order will be established, you must abide by that posting order.

2.) If someone's Hp falls to 0, you don't die, you become unable to fight and fall prone. If it drops below -10. You die.

3.) If someone is bound, paralyized, Asleep or helpless. You may Coup De Grace. However, that is the only thing you are allowed to do in your post.

4.) You may attack for Lethal or Nonlethal damage. You must state what your doing before hand.

1.) I determine wether you hit or miss the opponent. I also determine damage dealt, wether someone dies or not. Keep this in mind whenyou post

Mankut saw that the party of goblins he had been tracking had attacked a party of travelers. He unsheathed his sword and ran at one of the goblins. He aimed an overhand strike.

The swordsman that appeared out of seemingly nowhere struck at a random Goblin. He struck once. Knocking the goblin off balance. And then again. The goblin seemingly became stunned, and knealt down before his opponent.

[Holy Kensai]

Alark pulled out his gladius, doing a warforged smile, which isn't much of a smile, as warforged have only two states of mouth, open and closed. No teeth. Running towards a nearby goblin, the warforged struck at it for non-lethal damage. The goblin was neither the prone one, nor the leader, it was one of the cocky ones. Thought that doesn't say much, as all goblins are cocky.

The warforged took the side of his gladius and smashed it against the skull of a goblin he believed to be laughing at him, the goblin stumbled, hed it's head only to be bashed again, as it turned to run, he suffered another painful blow. The Goblin got knocked to the side, knocked completely unconscious.

The Goblin leader, having seen one of his minions wounded and the other knocked out, rushed the warforged. In an rage, he swung once. The axe seemed to just bounce off the armor, but not before leaving it's mark.

Seraph brought his instrument to his lips and then began to play that ballad he had just written, it was a bit of a mix between two songs he had learned previously, one to boast his friends, and one to help demoralize his opponents. The Goblin Leader dropped his weapon and covered his ears, as did one of the other cohorts. The two other's managed to retain their weapons, but still felt the effects of the song.

The Goblin proceeded to pick up his weapon and the other's attacked the nearest thing, ignoring the orc who was obviously trying to taunt them into atttacking him. However, they were far to enraged, each swung at the Warforged. They all hit, however, one hit with the blunt end of his axe and did nothing at all to damage the metal man. Alark was begining to look pretty beat up. However, he didn't look like he was about to break just yet.

Aurora was caught off guard by the goblin troop, slightly cursing herself for her lack of attention. She raised her hands and magical wind began to blow against her cape, whipping dust and small pebbles about. The wind spun into a small sphere and she directed it towards the goblin thug that had yet to be hit.

The goblin got hit directly by the wind spell and fell over a bloody mess, he squirmed around and screamed and then stopped, though there was movement. It would seem to everyone like he was dead.

The Illithid, who had not fully introduced himself, extended his hand at the one who seemed to be their leader and made an attempt to dominate him. The Goblin reached for his head, let out a scream and then his eyes glazed over. The Goblin leader then attacked a nearby ally, a perfectly fine Goblin and swept at him with a hatchet. The goblin immedietly knew what had happened and then took a hit.

The org, Graganr approached the injured goblin steadily and then lifted his mallet and brought it down on the goblin, yelling a fierce war cry in his native tounge of Orcish. He brought the hammer down, just as the goblin went to get out of the way. The Goblin was a bloody mess. The two remaining looked scared to death and ready to flee at a moment's notice.

Mankut spun around, his eyes flashing. Raising his blade, he jumped up high, his green tunic waving in the wind, and tried to bring it down on the untouched goblins neck.

Assuming Alark is still alive, he strikes for lethal damage on the goblin he attacked earlier, opening his mouth to scream a bloodcurlingly pleased scream.

The swordsman unleashed a fury of blows on the perfectly fine goblin and killed the creature before it could even so much as react to the pain it was experiencing.

The Goblin became mobilized again and in one quick motion, darted the other way, bloody and afraid. As it ran, it shouted something in it Goblin. Obviously frightened of dying. The Illithid, known as Zeek grabbed the goblin and went to the side so no body could see and did as he did with the half elf. He seemed content upon his return. He came back with an item, a talismin, an items that increase some bodies resistance to magical attacks. He hands the items over to Aurura.

"I feel you would make the best use of this elf. Use it well." The mindflayer communicated telepathically. The group continued on their way.

As the party continues down the path, a pale shirtless man with long flowing blackhair stands in the groups way. The group is less then a quarter of a mile from the Dwarven city. The man appears quite strong and remains still your way, his arms crossed, smiling a sinister smile at the group.

Alark, still not fully recovered from the previous battle, held his gladius at his side. Waiting for someone else to make the first move, he prepared to follow suit. Which involved, well, holding his gladius and staring at the road-blocker.

Seraph noticed that the warforged was waiting for someone else to move first. Seraph couldn't attack so instead he

Played "Morale" on his simple flute to boost the attack of all his allies.

Mankut was traveling with the group, and he observed the new figure. Drawing his blade he glanced at his new allies. They seemed strong and fit so he walked up to the man and said, "Hello. Who are you?"

[DH_Ninja]

"I am Onikage." The figure said simply grining still. "None of you shall pass without loooosing your life." He laughed a little to himself, amused by them drawing their weapons. "You're welcome to try."

To be halted when they were so close to completing the first stretch of their journey, Aurora sighed. The man seemed to have no intention of letting them by without a battle. The others seemed willing and ready for another battle despite the damage they had sustained.

"Excuse me Mr Onikage" she said politely, while curtsying despite the raised weapons of the others. "I am sure that a powerful and wizened man such as yourself, would be able to feel the growing evil presence throughout the lands. My accomplices and I have to go to the Dwarven city in order to gain aid and knowledge of how to vanquish the impending doom. If you would be so kind, would you please let us pass you peacefully?" she added another respectful curtsy for good measure.

"Aurora, I don't think he's going to move. It seems like he's been here for a long time. We're probably going to fight him to get out." Mankut raised his weapon. "Ok, Onikage. So in order to proceed, we have to fight, right? So let's get this fight started!"
