LOL@Zac, relax

Tenebrae I feel a bit similarly, I'm not watching it... I just didn't feel motivated to keep watching, and the fact that I pretty much know what happens is probably part of it >> I also don't want to see Kotomine Kirei or whatever his name is, I hate that guy

I just marathon'd 24 eps of Akame ga Kill!

I went in totally knowing that there would be deaths everywhere but at least the ones I cared about the most went out like a boss

x (Click Here To Hide/Show Text)
although I find it kind of weird how Akame's thing wasn't a suicidal trump card

if there's one thing this anime succeeded at it's making me care the most out of ever for an evil character in a good way

esdeath best girl

tbh I think I would have had a lot more fun watching the show from the jaeger side instead of the...

wow I can't even remember what the assassin group was named

but anyway yeah idk why but Wave appeals to me more than Tatsumi too

Run is a pretty cool guy too

the only problem would be not getting enough Susabro

and I guess they managed to make me care more than I thought I would about Mine (the twintails probably helped)

although honestly

the entire plot kind of disappoints me

and when I say that what I mean isn't that it's a dumb cliche show trying harder than it should be to be serious

no I don't really care about that part

what I REALLY mean is that this show screams "We totally aren't trying to make Monster Hunter:The Animation"

I mean

there is a variety of weapons to choose from

everybody talks like they're in a videogame

they hunt "danger beasts" (AKA monsters) for money and dissect them for raw materials that were used to create powerful weapons

and Akame should have totally cooked meat spinning it over an open fire with the appropiate BGM

I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

So...Steins;Gate is apparently on Canadian Netflix and that's also on the "recommended" list of mine for...ever I guess.

Between that and realizing Funimation gives out The Tatami Galaxy for free...I'm never going to get to a second episode of Attack on Titan, am I?

marathon'd Akame ga Kill? that doesn't sound too healthy (I pretty much "marathon'd" the manga a while ago, it hurt a bit, lol)

I thought it was solid at first but once it deviated it took a more episodic approach that almost seemed like it *had* to kill characters and skipped out on certain character developments and stuff, let's just say I wasn't a fan, and even then the show had its problems here and there since so does the manga, but eh, second half aside it was ok

the opening/endings were kinda awesome at least

the first few deaths hit me but afterwards they started to get dumb and mean less and I couldn't care

agree that Akame not having a suicidal trump card was in a sense unexpected lol, I didn't really *expect* much of naything but I figured there'd be some repercussion for a sudden power-up or whatever

the plot and such is pretty bad in general, it tries to be dark and edgy to get the masses in but yeah it's really not much, it's more of a nonsense action show but even then the fights got too stupid to me and it felt like it couldn't decide on what it was doing and because of that I kinda tried to take it seriously and in doing so it was bad and if like, from the beginning it had made itself seem like more of a comical nonsense action show I wouldn't have had such mixed feelings that mostly ended in "this was just really poorly done" *shrug*

EDIT: Oh yeah since I'm here

Since I stopped One Piece, Naruto, etc. as I've probably mentioned before, and SAO II is over (T_T gonna miss it, as a fanboy and all; it ended on a couple of decent episodes with some great action episodes a bit before that, so I'm satisfied I guess), and Akame ga Kill is over (won't really miss it)... and I stopped watching F/SN UBW pretty early on...

my "anime I'm watching" list has been reduced to pretty much just Log Horizon 2

Amagi Brilliant Park is a hilarious show with an entertaining premise if nothing else (albeit not really an impressive show) but I intend to finish the last few episodes in one go once they're all out or something

there's a few specials and such too but I'm just kinda watching those as I find them (I saw the end to Budd Complex, QQ it was sad, I feel like I already rambled about it though for some reason)

Twintails I just watch whenever I'm really really bored and can put up with its lack of... idk, purpose, lol

so yeah, the only thing I'm consistently watching is LH2, how things have changed from my "WATCHING 7-10 ANIME A WEEK* AND THEY'RE ALL KINDA GREAT AND THERE'S A FEW MEH ONES TOO IF I GET BORED", lol. now it's "WATCHING 2-3 ANIME WITH A COUPLE ONES I CAN WATCH IF I REALLY NEED SOME SPARE ENTERTAINMENT".

*I think it was Spring of 2014 that really hit me with a bunch of shows I liked (and was also the first time I really started paying attention to anime, I think), with Summer not being terrible. Fall was bland. Winter will also be weak. Maybe Spring will bring some things I can easily get into again, but somehow I don't feel like that's going to happen/don't have high hopes.

before i had no idea there were even "seasons" of these things, now I actually look out for what's interesting ahead of time. how things have changed indeed...

dear lord, cross ange just got interesting(still lots of boobs but i've decided to ignore that because the story, while difficult to find at first, is pretty decent). they finally gave an explanation to the plot, and introduced the supposed evil. and suprisingly enough, they have cut back quite a bit on the boobs. it's not quite where i'd like it to be, but it's definitely watchable now. there was actually an entire episode with nothing that would bother anyone.

And my friend told me that UBW just finished it's first season, so i'm gonna go marathon what i haven't watched yet. should be pretty good.

oh, did it

still a bit too disturbing for me to get into I think >_>

UBW I still don't feel like going back for

in terms of what I just watched, I just finished both seasons of RWBY, which I loved, as I expected (it's very close to my ideal type of action anime; idk if it can be classified as an anime since it's not based in Japan, but it feels like a 3D anime, so eh. also I dig the fact that for once it's in English... I really appreciate English dubs sometimes)

oh yeah I also finished Amagi Brilliant Park except the last episode

the ending was great/fitting for the anime, I really liked it as a whole, the opening is also really catchy haha

What I'm watching is... really just:

Log Horizon Season 2

but once the winter season starts I'll pick up at least a couple shows, so we'll see how that goes.

By the way, I finally got pressured enough into making a My Anime List, and did! So take a look at my MAL!

Yeah I've watched a lot of bad anime, and a lot of good ones... and the ratings more-so reflect my enjoyment of the show rather than my critical perception of it, since I tend to be able to tolerate a lot of things. (I also seem to subconsciously ignore some fan service, based on conversations I've had with others; I guess I'm still a bit innocent LOL--when it's blatant though it generally bothers me and I can't handle a show with more than a certain amount of fan service)

Oh yeah, on there it says I'm watching Twintails, but you can tell from the episode count that I'm not really keeping up with it and that I just watch it whenever I'm really bored

The on-hold list is also somewhat... inaccurate in its nature since I can't guarantee I actually intend to finish those shows, but eh, they're not almost for sure dropped like the dropped ones (which are shows that I'm very unlikely to come back to barring some kind of total change of heart or miracle/disaster [depending on how you see it] or something)

can probably recommend Fate/Zero if you liked Fate/Stay Night (it's darker than the original, probably close to the same level of darkness as UBW, maybe a bit worse, idk)

actually I watched Fate/Zero first and it helped me understand some elements of F/S more (being that it takes place beforehand) haha

it's not a big deal though and it's not like you have to watch it

Only problem with watching zero first is that it spoils kotomine's personality...which while not a huge problem is still kind of annoying I imagine. Especially since they kept who he was a secret for so long in the other parts.

oh hmm

I guess so

I didn't think of that, I've hated him for as long as I can remember, so yeah. in fact one of the reasons why I'm not watching UBW is because I don't want to see that guy. I just despise, even more than is justified

Yeah, his character was...really easy to hate. I think that's what they had in mind honestly, he is basically the villain for the most part after all. But to be honest I don't dislike him all that much. Mostly because of what his past was like (current state of mind not necessarily his fault and all that). But before the topic gets derailed further, has anyone watched stein's gate? It looked interesting

hey it's fine to derail

I don't sympathize with him at all nor do I care that he is intended to be that way, that's just how much I despise his existence lol, I just totally dislike that guy lol

also no I haven't watched Steins;Gate T_T heard it's good tho

sooo this new anime season... ohmy.gif

I watched Aldnoah Zero recently. Gonna watch the second season when more episodes are out.
I'm currently watching Durarara since there is apparently going to be a second season of that as well.

Junketsu no Maria seems promising from the first episode. You can't go wrong with witches and medieval France.

Let me know how that goes because I probably won't watch it unless someone praises it enough that I feel like I'm missing out haha

In fact I haven't watched anything from the new season yet and probably won't for a bit XP (well, whenever Assassination Classroom [supposedly soon, like within 24 hours maybe] comes out I'll probably watch that, but otherwise this season of anime might somehow be even more dull than the last one... lol)

I'm watching Absolute Duo, and will watch it to the end, purely because the main character sounds almost identical to Kirito.

I don't particularly care about if he's completely unsubstantial as long as I get to hear his voice. Wish he didn't have brown hair though.

The animation seems pretty bad and it's overall fairly cliche.

BUT DAT VOICE THO.

I also watched the first episode of Kantai Collection which...frankly looks really dumb...and I say this in the context of "I knew it was going to be about waterskating battleship girls designed to be a harem of disposable waifus" but at least the Abyssals seem pretty cool.

Looking forward to Dog Days season 3, even if I think it's had enough by season 2.

Durarara season 2 looks cool. Barely remember anything from season 1 other than "angry Shizuo" and "cheese sushi" though.

In spring (because winter doesn't have enough stuff) I'm also going to watch Danmachi...because it has a cute guy as the protag voiced by Kirito...stop looking at me like that

The Yahari SNAFU thing is also getting its second season so I guess I'll watch that.

Assassination Classroom was pretty good IMO... a bit better than I expected (big fan of manga, but that means I'm sensitive to how the anime is)

speaking of sensitive

Tokyo Ghoul Root A or whatever was terrible

already disliking it

I gave it a chance and there were moments I was like "OK, MAYBE THIS CAN BE GOOD" and then it just screwed me over and I was seriously disappointed sleep.gif

aaaand Log Horizon 2, probably the last season for years to come, will keep going... not very hyped but yay anyway

since Tenebrae mentioned spring... uh if Gatchaman Crowds has its second season air then, I'd totally jump on that (I really liked the first season), and oh totally yes I'm hyped for My Teenage Romantic Comedy SNAFU, that was one of my favorite shows and I can hardly wait for the second season (and I don't normally say that for that genre of shows, but yay parodies I guess tongue.gif)

also dat signature line, so deep

lolwut the voice? is it the actual same voice actor as Kirito or just really similar

I'm not a huge Kirito fan so meh, I prefer the English dub for SAO anyway, I only watched the Japanese dub for the later episodes because I didn't want to wait for the English dub to catch up
