I think the newest SAO episode had the best fight scene in the entire anime. I mean, yeah, Yuuki's the best swordfighter ever, but I really wasn't expecting them to have enough budget leftover or something to pull that off.

Dem camera angles, though.

That said the Mother's Rosario arc is designed to be character-centric so people that are into like, worldbuilding and plot and fight scenes are probably going to be disappointed(mostly by lack of frequency.) I don't really care much about most SAO characters (not even Sinon, who suddenly became like, everybody's best girl) so not having everyone together isn't a problem for me.

Dropped Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis because you guessed it, zombies.

Twintails episode 5 and 6 was unfortunately lackluster for me when it came to the lulz, though 6 hit the WTF factor more than anything else and 5 had Crab Guildy and his AGI build lol. I hate glasses though so I'm looking forward to watching the Twin Tails beat the shit out of Dark Grasper.

I'm just watching Vanadis for Ellen. I wouldn't even look at the screen when she's not there if it wasn't for how pretty the art is. At the point below 5 every show was "things I watch just to kill time" rather than "things I watch because I am particularly interested in them" although Amagi Brilliant Park is more entertaining than it was before so I guess that should get a rank up.

I'm watching Soul Eater. The animation style took a little getting used to but I'm loving it so far. Especially Kid, Patty and Liz. laugh.gif

Kid and his weapons (can't remember the term for that lol, been so long since I watched Soul Eater) are great, though to be fair I like most of the main characters XD

also YOU FOOL

@Tenebrae that's fair, and yeah I'm no longer sad lol, I like Klein and Egil for some weird reason maybe I'm just sick of the harem, Kirito is ok, but Asuna is my fave so I'm happy with that (and Shinon IS cool but.... she had her arc, which was way longer than like Lisbeth's or Silica's LOL, so we won't be seeing much of her anymore tongue.gif)

and yeah I agree that said fight was surprising, IMO it WAS the best and I wasn't expecting that and we probably won't see anything like it again, sadly ;(

Just finished up both seasons of code glass, and it was great from start to finish. My only complaint is that the ending got a bit jumbled for my taste with like 5 different show-long plot themes got wrecked, but even then it was really good.

Code glass? you mean Geass? XD

assuming so, yeah the ending was kinda shaky, maybe a bit rushed, but still enjoyable I think. glad you liked it, we've got a few Code Geass fans here haha~ (I'm one of them, not a huge one but one nonetheless)

EDIT: oh yeah there's an OVA called Akito the Exiled IIRC if you liked Code Geass; only got... 1 or 2 OVAs so far, I think, but more on the way. and the second one is pretty awesome. biggrin.gif

Yeah I did mean geass. I've got a really nice program in my phone that let's you type by sweeping your finger across the keyboard, but unfortunately it has a hyperactive autocorrect and doesn't like uncommon words

I haven't watched the latest SAO2 episode yet so I'm glad it's good, last week's was a little boring.

I was going to watch this today with a friend but I have no idea what the hell happened to this since it's supposed to have been out by now.

@zac no worries we know how bad autocorrect is haha

@Oblivion well whether it's good or not is ultimately just an opinion, but I massively enjoyed both this week's and last week's episodes

as far as the P3 movie goes, looks like it's just not subbed. Try requesting a group to sub it or else you might just be stuck waiting until someone feels like doing it (though it's already been at least a few months, so there's the possibility no one will do it anytime soon, lol).

March 11th is when the blu-ray comes out so fansubbers will probably work on it then.

March 11th sounds sooner than 3 years+ of studying Japanese. Cut that amount by half or so if you remove yourself from English and keep yourself in total Japanese exposure and it's still...yeah.

well it was a joke but even so if ALL you're trying to do is translate that one anime... XD

I meant in general though; once you know it, you could watch/read/play anything before it's subbed/translated/localized/whatever if you have access to it tongue.gif

if you're good with languages it would only take about 9 months to be able to hold a decent conversation. 3 months for learning the basics, and then another 6 of total exposure to the culture and language. that is assuming you learned pretty quickly though. you could maybe extend learning the basics to 6 months for writing/reading as well as speaking. so march is still closer, but then you can say you learned a thing....except going to japan would be expensive as hell.

mhm, though best not to rush these things when possible. also, truly learning any language is great for several reasons, so if you've got some alternate motivation for it like actually using it for something you care about, that's pretty helpful~

We have interpreters for every language after your first that you don't intend to use for a purpose you're particularly interested in. (And if there are no interpreters for a language you intend to be using, it's probably not good for business anyway.) The cost of time and effort (and probably money) to reach semi-fluency in another language is otherwise way too high for little return.

unless you want to be a translator. government linguist is a fairly decent job. travelling, the pay, it's a government job so dem benefits, not to mention you have the chance to meet lots of people(assuming you enjoy that kind of thing anyway).

Eh, just throwing another angle in. Back on topic UBW is starting to pick up the pace a bit with the whole school fight scene with caster's minions and everything that comes with them. Really enjoying it now.

I feel that I should probably wait until UBW is over and marathon it. I already know the gist of everything that's gonna happen and I've discussed what there is to discuss about it.

I would too but I'm kind of a fanboy, so I'm having a hard time imagining that I will(dear lord I just admitted to fanboying over something the apocalypse will start next week so horde your drinking water.)
