@Tenebrae oh

well maybe if I ever get to it again and can figure out how to progress... *shrug*

Same things compared to what? The first season or within itself?

hmm, both? like damsel in distress, tsundere tendencies, and various other stuff I'm too lazy to point out... the cast could stand to be a little bigger too IMO but eh

interesting comments on the differences between the novel and anime and whatnot... and then lol@thatlastcomment

The excuse for getting Shino to Dicey Cafe (explaining to Asuna that what she and her friend may have seen on video is not meant to be threatening to Kirito's relationship with Asuna) is absent.

*doesn't understand*

*keeps trying to*

hmm, maybe you mean that Kirito was supposedly taking Shino there to explain that he wasn't cheating or anything as an excuse to take Shino there when the actual reason was different? or something? but I did find it odd that they never mentioned Kirito's relationship with Asuna and how Kirito has no shame ._.

yeah pretty much

well he does go all like "orite I was totes supposed to clear misunderstandings" after they're already talking so I presumed it was more of an excuse to just get Shino there at all

also I don't remember Rika going out of her way to punch Kirito in the novel but it was pretty funny to see animated so whatever

I'm pretty sure there are video walkthroughs of Hollow Fragment by now (I'd offer information of my own since I completed Hollow Area but all the names of stuff I know are different and I can't be bothered to screenshot maps)

also watched Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis and like

it feels

kind of like I'm watching Transformers and Iron Man (or at least they're trying to get me into the same mentality)

"HEY GUYS HAVE SOME AWESOME"

"OH AND HERE'S SOME LULZ TOO"

"and uh....uh...OH RIGHT T&A"

"the story?"

"um"

"we'll get back to you on that"

it seems like it does intend to have a plot though and I've only watched the first ep so

Had to drop Magic Kaito within the first 2 minutes because oh my god does this thing even have a budget?

video walkthroughs suck for me lol, it's hard to figure out where they are and where I am and then I have to waste time watching them play when I'd rather play myself lol. at least for text walkthroughs I can skim the text a get a good idea of how to do things myself in 5 minutes or so XP

LOL@other 2 anime

Magic Kaito, I heard Snow was watching that IIRC lol

is it really that bad? ahaha I'm kinda curious but I suppose I have better things to do

finally finished Zankyou no Terror's last episode

I feel like it would have been a lot easier to watch on marathon, it's almost like a movie extended into a TV series

that said it's not really anything I'd watch twice since I have almost zero investment in the characters

QUOTE

is it really that bad? ahaha I'm kinda curious but I suppose I have better things to do

checking it again it seems it gets better (animation-wise) but even then the art style is too bleh for me so I'd rather not

watched Akatsuki no Yona's first episode

in which everything is so ridiculously shoujo(compare how shonen stories work with the superpower exposition, training, saving the world, friendship, etc.) I could more or less vaguely guess everything that was going to happen

WHICH JUST MADE IT EVEN WORSE BECAUSE I WAS TOTALLY IN DENIAL OVER SOO-WON TURNING OUT TO BE THE SECRETLY EVIL GUY (they usually get some excuse for what they do later on though)

GOSH WHY THE HELL DID THEY HAVE TO MAKE HIM SO CUTE UGH

AND EVEN THOUGH I IMAGINE THE REST OF IT WILL BE JUST AS PREDICTABLE I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT EPISODE (but at the same time I don't want to read the manga because it's really rare for a shoujo thing NOT set in highschool to be animated)

UGH

but anyway

also watched Ore, Twintail ni Narimasu

haphazard writing that parodies sentai tropes and just screams "excuse plot"? check

no pretense of seriousness? check (although it certainly does get very Serious Business)

...surprisingly little fanservice for what it is? check

badass? check

WTF factor? check

TWINTAILS?? CHECK!

10/10 WOULD WATCH AGAIN

Do you watch Transformers films? Let me put it this way:

If you are totally cool with things being so stupid it's awesome, it's a rare treasure unlikely to appear in another form(like a copycat anime or whatever) again.

If you are someone way too fixated on how to git gud at literary science, then no, it's total shit and everyone that likes it is a disgrace to humanity that should have never been born.

I'm pretty sure you aren't the latter going by how you liked Sword Art Online season 1 though.

That said, unfortunately the Twintail anime doesn't look like it will have quite as much awesomeness in combat as one would think going by illustrations of the light novel due to its not exactly high budget.

ahh I see

well................................. my better judgment says I should've walked away (as I've done multiple times now) but I am kinda tempted to try it out

if only because this anime season is so absolutely boring and I have nothing to keep me busy M-F (I mean, I have stuff to keep me busy, I just like to watch TV while eating a meal sometimes XP)

and as you said, I am able to enjoy things even if they are bad or have flaws, I am not so fixated on logic or sense or whatever--sure it bothers me sometimes but that depends on a lot of factors, let's just say I'm flexible unlike some people tongue.gif

that being said I didn't like Space Dandy and that show is a total joke, so...

Shingeki no Bahamut is a great popcorn show, though I'm really not sure if it will be worth anything else (again, think Transformers.)

Apparently everybody is turned off Cross Ange because of rape imagery. I, personally, was far more disturbed by the very small amount of mecha v.s. dragons.

Fate/Stay Night UBW is turning out to scream high budget, but it's also keeping a lot of the bad(or at least boring) things from what it's based on.

Log Horizon 2 is painful for me to watch whenever anything political is going on, and I really just don't like Shiroe. I kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiindaaaaaaaaa like Tetra but...one thing I hate about this show is that I have almost no reference for what the characters look like IRL. And I get this feeling that says Tetra is actually a dude, but whether that applies to both the character and the player or just the player is something I'm honestly unsure about.

Psycho-Pass 2 is turning out to look relatively promising, though it's one of those things where you reeeeeeeeaaaaallllllyyyy need to watch season 1 first.

I find Madan no Ou to Vanadis good enough as something to watch when you just want to pass the time when eating, and I really like the main heroine's attitude, but when she's absent or at least out of focus for long enough I go back into bored mode.

Tried out Sora no Method for deep, well-articulated, analytical, thought-out reasons, such as blue twintails. Looks like it's trying to be one of those FEELS anime, though how good it will be at this is something I don't know. The first episode somehow simultaneously felt both too slow and fast.

Episode 2 of Akatsuki no Yona, in which there are less shoujo conventions than I thought there would be and holy shit time skip what is this Aincrad? Oh, and obvious political subtext is obvious.

It's something to stay away from if incredibly gratuitous fanservice offends you or you find it disgusting. (The part that bothers me the most about the fanservice isn't in that it's fanservice, but in that it's incompetent at making them fashionable at the same time. It's like some cheap bootleg costumes made for porn.)

Otherwise...eh well I don't think it's that interesting either. Anything else I want from it, like the music, can just be obtained from the OST or something anyway.

Twintails continues to be AMAZING with its second episode. 11/10 and anybody that says you can't do that clearly hasn't tried welding wooden doors shut.

First episode of Sword Art Online: Caliber is turning out to be promising as well, and I really like the opening's imagery. Blue-haired Asuna looks absolutely wonderful every single frame she appears. I already miss long haired Kirito though. Found it kind of hilarious how they just went "oh crap guys we totally forgot to adapt this part of Fairy Dance uhh here's a quick recap" for Tonkii though. they should have spent last week's 14.5 on that...

Fate/Stay Night UBW is boring me since I already know about most of the exposition and so on.

Trying to watch Gundam Build Fighters but for some mysterious reason it's hard to keep going. Maybe it has to do with my concern for the plastic models breaking. Would never want that kind of abuse on something I worked hard on making.

Amagi Brilliant Park isn't really giving me any incentive to watch it aside from the art and the fabulous military clothes Kanie and Isuzu wear.

as a fellow SAO fanatic I agree, them just chillin' and doing MMO stuff is actually more enjoyable than the filler in the GGO arc lol

and it would've been ice if last episode wasn't also a filler/recap >>

Asuna is awesome, ofc, only reason I still watch SAO *shot*

lol@Shinon joining ALO and being "that" race and everyone is all like natural with it and whatnot (we need moar guys tho, not gonna lie)

I hear Asuna is the main character of the next arc after this so I'm excited for that (and this quest thing will probably be interesting in its own right, at least for the next episode, since there's bound to be some action, right? biggrin.gif)

ditto for the UBW thing. I do like how they split up the introductions for Emiya and Tohsaka. 'twas a nice touch.

I watched the first episode of Kaito Joker. it's a bit childish, but hey i watch spongebob still so it's all good.

inou battle in everyday life seems pretty good so far. i don't usually dig slice of life stuff, but i'm a boring person recently. And having super powers has always been a fantasy of mine. i know it'll never happen, but it makes for good short story material.

SAO II continues to deliver, though the fight scene was incredibly different from what I imagined (in particular, Sword Skills have a far more significant delay, which is usually covered up by Switching but that wasn't a thing here, and Kirito's consecutive Sword Skill casting is way clunkier than I thought it would be.) The first time they activated their sword skills there were a lot of weird, sloppy movements though. I liked how the dark minotaur was like "wait...fuck" when it realized the other one died. Something I remember being in the novel absent from the anime is Kirito commenting on how age-inappropiate Thrym's dialogue is, though that was only in monologue (and it is really rare for monologue to stay in.)

Twintails' most recent episode wasn't quite as good as the previous ones but still got a decent amount of laughs from me.

Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis is going to be dropped if it features anymore zombies. I haven't had an appetite for a week now(and didn't eat ANYTHING for 3 days), alongside minor vomiting problems and taking hours to fall asleep doing nothing on bed due to it. Psycho-pass 2 had a creepy scene too but that one is just humans being sociopathic so whatev.

Current watching priorities:
1:Sword Art Online II
2:Ore, Twintail ni Narimasu
3:Akatsuki no Yona
4:Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works
5:Psycho-Pass 2
6:Madan to Ou no Vanadis
7:Log Horizon 2
8:Amagi Brilliant Park
9:Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru (mostly because the character designer is the same as SAO's, and because a friend watches it with me)
10:Gundam Build Fighters
11:Sora no Method (mostly because I heard it's a teenage angstfest)
12:Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis (would be higher but I just mentioned reasons for nearly dropping)
13:Persona 4 Golden the Animation (leftover from last season)
14:Sengoku Basara: Judge End (same as above)

I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

Watched The Devil is a Part-Timer, it was quite a fun series and the fight scenes were pretty well animated. My main problem with the show is when the "good" guys are going on about how Satan might be planning something when he never is so those drama scenes got a bit tiring and weren't that engaging. It's a fun show and I do recommend checking it out.

Also have been watching Okami-san and Her Seven Companions. It's... decent I guess. The actual story and characters are subpar but the narrator salvages it to being a decent show. "This is more of a fan disservice." <- That line was pure gold.

Kanon Memphis, one of my favourite anime characters, has been promoted to main graphic (top left).

That's bad. That means she'll die ;_;

EDIT -

Ran out of excuses to avoid Attack on Titan.

This is written one episode in, but is there less CGI after the first episode? It's probably the most infuriating expediences in a while for me to be thinking "Oh, that's nice art. A few too many distances shots but it's really nice. I shoul--OH FOR GOD'S SAKE, THAT'S DISTRACTING.".

So I watched cross ange on the suggestion of my friend...I'm somewhat disturbed by the amount and subject matter of the fan service, but if you get past that it's a decent show(I still think porn and anime should stay separate, but w/e)

Twintails was weirdly entertaining. In fact I almost turned it off halfway through the first episode, but then I didn't and realized how hilarious it could be.

Log Horizon is great IMO, and Chuunibyou was also awesome (watched both seasons a long time ago)

I'm currently watching LH2 and it's great

SAO II was ****ing amazing today, it was just so good. I love the character development and focus going on with Asuna, I feel like this next plot part is going to be great, and the battle was FREAKING AMAZING. Also, no Kirito/etc. focus for a bit! Well, it is a tiny bit sad since I like seeing everyone, but I'm totally ok with this. (I am only sad in the sense that the SAO anime is going to end soon and I won't get anymore new episodes QQ)

The previous episode was solid but not great IIRC, but yeah... I still think SAO is a great anime when it comes down to the animation and music. They're seriously good. You might not like the story or the characters (though I think they've at least got cool designs myself, even if their personalities are eh) but I love the premise if nothing else and... THE ANIMATION/MUSIC just makes for some awesome fights to watch. Any classic anime fan owes it to themselves to google/youtube the fight scenes (because let's be honest stuff like DBZ is what got a lot of us into anime and all that has going for it are the fight scenes, really, but at the same time that's all you need lol)

That series was great, I can't wait for a season two (ok I can, but yeah). I didn't really find that to be much of a problem, I mean he's freaking Maou, can you really blame them? I figure that they'll eventually learn to trust each other enough that they won't constantly think that (meaning the source of conflict and thus laughs will have to come from something else XP). But yeah I really liked that show~ would also recommend

Twintails is... yup. Watch it because it's a joke and it knows it. It's stupid and wrong but still good for a few laughs and it's just one of those shows where you can kinda accept it's dumb, roll with it, and somehow enjoy it anyway. XD
