@S84 LOL I see. Most people had difficulty with the same two parts that you did. Eric and chapter 13. Chapter 13 just has tons of units and the characters tend to be at weapon triangle disadvantages because of Ace/Kevin being axe-users against the fighters/brigands. BUT, it IS an ambush, so I figure the battle should be a defensive one that is very hard, as oppose to an easy one where it doesn't even seem like an ambush.
And Eric is mainly hard because of his critical. Otherwise you could just defeat most of the other enemies, then have someone like Kevin draw him in, and bombard him with all your characters until he dies.
Also, it's Althares, 'Al' for short.

Also, I had planned on turning down reinforcements. Main thing is I'm trying to give you guys a lot of experience to level up, because this game doesn't have arenas (which are cheap) and it is a little bit shorter than FE7, so there's less time to level-up.

-In level 4, when you first encounter Kevin, he has a weird color to him. Once you recruit him though, it'll go back to normal.

-I don't know if you have this in other levels but I noticed in level 4 that at the fort in the far left and at the ballista in the far right, you have two units on top of one another. I thought I was mistaken at first when I saw a nomad appear from where the mercenary was in the left top but then two archers appeared out of nowhere from on top the ballista as well.


-Small note, not sure if this is because I'm scaling it on my iTouch or if this happens in other Fire Emblem games, but I noticed units in the top row of the map on level 4 are cut off. Siegfried for example. You'll notice the archer I posted in the image above has the same problem.

-This might be intentional but shouldn't Shon have a higher Con and Aid because he is mounted? Currently I have him at level 7 with 7 con and 6 aid. Gordon is level 8 with 10 con and 15 aid.
-Might just be me but at level 5 Inanna has the same resistance as many of my other units and it's at 4. Shouldn't a Pegasus Knight have higher resistance? Again I've never paid attention to the numbers in past versions of Fire Emblem so I may be wrong.

I guess I should fix it, it's been there since forever...
About the archers, I recall some obscure glitch happening with them before but I had thought I fixed it and it hadn't been mentioned until now... hmm... I'd like to blame your iPod Touch/iPhone emulator, but... I guess it's me. I'll see if I can fix it.
The stats are "as they should be", i.e. they don't necessarily follow the standards for Fire Emblem. You'll find Tamiko has quite high resistance. Inanna has relatively good resistance (it's early on so it might not be great), trust me.
Also, yeah, Shon always did have a few problems with his 'mounted traits'. I'll double-check to fix that and see if there's any other things that are missing (he replaces Eliwood!Lord class and so he still acts somewhat like an unmounted unit D:).

I'll try and update this thread since you asked. I'm going to neglect the FEND and FEU threads though, since the former doesn't get any responses, and the latter is at one of my least favorite forums AND doesn't get any responses. >_> Same thing for GBATemp and PokeCommunity since their topics are pretty... like... dead...

Btw, today I finished Kelik's promoted battle animation. Which is some good progress, because it's a TON of frames and took 3 days where I pretty much only sprited in my free time to make it.

I know I haven't updated any forums in a while, but progress has been happening. For those who don't keep up with the blog at http://tacticsuniverse.blogspot.com, I finished upto chapter 19, started chapter 20, and then had to stop to take care of some custom battle animations and map sprites. This delayed me but after a week I ended up finishing chapter 20. Later I took a break that was almost 2 weeks--in short, I was tired of hacking.
I've recently got back into it and have been making chapters about as quickly as I can. Chapter 21 and 22 are thus complete, excluding scripts, which I have yet to insert. Chapter 23 is in-progress (I am customizing a tileset and have to make another really long cutscene with really long scripts, so it is taking some time).
That being said, here's some screenshots to tease you. I sort of avoided the plot, but at the very least, you know you can expect nothing less than high-quality interesting chapters with epic cutscenes and a refreshing Fire Emblem experience. At least, that's what I strive for.

I just have to give another thanks to Exxucus for his amazing maps. It's one of the reasons why this hack is so good IMO (I know I sound arrogant, but the intention is to praise his maps, not my hack). His awesome maps force me to do the best that I can when making these chapters and really enhance the gameplay. They aren't all super amazing, but they're never disappointing.
Well, let me know what you think/enjoy. Be sure to keep up on youtube and the blog so that you aren't out of the loop!

It's from Ch. 39 (Victory or Death)'s pre-chapter opening. When Nils runs after the group and shows up, we warns Eliwood to move, just as the lightning bolt comes down (sent by Limstella who then warps in).

@LG yep, you have really good memory! I think you meant to type ch30, though. You got the name right though, which is probably harder to remember than the ch#. XD

Whoops, must have bumped the 9 instead of the 0 and not caught it. XD
And, memory really doesn't have too much to do with it, since FE7 doesn't exactly have a large dearth of effects like that in it...
