Okay guys so it's been a long road. Before I even begin to finish up the Main Game of this Let's Play I have a few other things I want to do. This post is one of them. Somehow you all have kept reading this and I'm ever grateful for it. The fact I get consistent comments (even from a small group) is what motivates me.

Without further ado, here are the final stats of this play through and
the verdict for my units. Feel free to post any criticisms or what not.

This has been for testing and fun purposes.

I will say this though, this is by far one of the best LP's I've ever seen, and most definitely the best text/screenshot LP ever, and I have to congratulate you on all the effort and a job well-done, and I'll do my best to spread the word about this when I can since more people deserve to see it IMO

I think I know why lol, I still have shaky feelings about Karina's supports in general because of the creator and bla bla and I'm probably just being too sensitive but meh, that's me, a loser is always a loser XD

How strong is he you ask well? We'll get to that.



Let's have a montage! I'm sure I can go through all these chapters
and find every time I've ever criticized you of something.

There's alot of talk and then there's this. What really started the rebellion.

Siegfried has little control of his body.
He'll lash out at anything that comes near him.



Shon refuses to fight his own father.

Some people say that Shon should be useable on this last chapter.
To those people I ask you this. Could you really turn your blade on your father?

Some of you could. But say they weren't like Rex. Say they were the there for
you all your life and always helped you stand. Say they gave their life for you?

Could you do it still. Shon has grown a lot, his father drove him to do that.

I think it's appropriate. It may suck gameplay wise but what it lacks in gameplay
it makes up for in story.

"Well, If you want story go read a book."

"Shut up and go away. No one loves you."


Alright so. This game has really been all about the Boulder.

THE BOULDER WILL SAVE THE DAY.



THE BOULDER HAS HIS CHEERLEADERS.

Lirin A support. Rex B support.



This fight is easily one of the hardest in the game.

When I first did this fight. I didn't know how to tackle it and supports
weren't a thing.



For Siegfried's sake. Let's help him.



BUT WITH THE POWER OF LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP
THE BOULDER WILL PREVAIL!



Siegfried has his own custom animation here. As well as his own
voice over for when he criticals. It's a very advanced animation and to
be very honest is ****ing sick.

Everyone has their own quote to say against Siegfried.



THE BOULDER IS SORRY. GO HAVE KINKY GHOST SEX SIEGFRIED.

With Siegfried defeated there are a few farewells.



It's very bitter sweet.

I'll be honest with you guys.

I read the ending and I tear up because to be honest.
I have issues with my own father that are pretty bad at the moment.

It's hard to view your dad as anyone else but your dad.

I won't go into too much detail with the matter because there's a time and
place for such things.



THE BOULDER WILL HUG YOU ALL NOW.

Prepare for the epilogue.

PLOT TWIST! Do not want.

Seriously though. I think in this patch this was one of the reported errors.
I think it's since been fixed. It's just a matter of swapping portraits.

This scene can change depending on who lives and dies.



ONE MORE CHALLENGE AWAITS.

Gary heads back to where he came to restore order to where his homeland.
I assume it's where he lives.



Just because the main game is over doesn't mean anything!

WE HAVE A POST GAME!

But seriously, they mourn Siegfried and Zane.

I don't know where it went but there was a scene with Haas and Alice.
It's upsetting because I think I saved over it.

It's nothing too special but it's extra content.



Shon, though mourning, wants to become a knight like his father.
He'll do well, I'm sure.



I'll be honest. I wish there was a scene for everyone in this chapter.
Just something small for all the characters.

It is ALOT to ask for but a guy can dream.



TURN COUNTS. I think I did good guys. 200+ turns on a chapter.

I'll still cry over Mina.







Liquid and Lyam glitched. I don't think any saw combat.

Some post game thoughts.

Whatever happened to Captain Drake. They make a big plot point about it
and there is absolutely no follow up upon it at all. Absolutely none.

Epilogue mention: None. Ending mention: Yes.

We don't even know what he looks like.


What happens to Mina in this game is very sad. Probably even sadder than the
rest because Rana is really gone and has trouble remembering anything.

Rana is very detached, has few friends. The only person Mina was thinking about
as she died couldn't even return the feelings that she had for him and in the end
was very apathetic towards her. It's not really Rana's fault.

Maybe if she had lived they'd have had a chance.

If you haven't played it yet why the hell haven't you?

If hard mode is ever released I will do another play through of it
but no promises for another Let's Play unless things have drastically changed.

Also, I'm just saying this. Siegfried's boss fight was meant to be worlds harder
originally but it wasn't. Maybe we'll one day see what was originally meant to be.

I actually don't know if it would be feasible without losing people left and right.

This was amazing. As a person who is rarely on the forums nowadays. I ACTUALLY read this entire LP, why? Because it was beautifully done. It has enough seriousness at points to balance out the humor and had perfect balance.

Welcome back to Let's Play! The Last Promise.

So this is the post game. Pretty nifty right?



Things here are different than most.

Units can die. If they do die, they're lost.
Some units can be recovered.
Certain star colors function as certain things.
Everything you need is about here.
Arena, secret shop, armory, shop.

It's a long post game.
Really to learn the rules you should probably play and get this far.
But if not look for a video if you really want an in depth look.

This is the first Star. Stars are levels.
This is also what the map looks like without it.

I actually don't know what constellation this is based off of.



You heard the lady. Time to grind to level 20 with Anakin again!

But we are given a generous sum of money.



First things first. We start with Anakin and Shon.
Also our palette has changed.

We are no long blue. We are purple.



Some stats to give you an idea of what are starting team is.
Let's visit the house in the corner.

But it's a star.

But you knew this already. He showed up in the story.

Jake will give us stuff after every star. So it's worth checking in with him.



And our enemy is blue. Our enemy is also numerous.

Well. I want to see how well this run goes. Let's not use the arena and jump
head first into this. Win or lose everything I'm posting has been my experience.

So unless I do something incredibly stupid expect everything to be authentic.
Not that it wasn't authentic before.



Holy crap! I got good growths. And we're seeing player death quotes
for the first time in a long time.



This work is not for the weak of heart. Also Corben didn't have a proper
death quote. I'm not sure why this is but I don't mind it terribly.



Another nondeath quote. HMPH. I guess last words aren't important enough
for them! They work well enough in the main mode.



Here's where I did something stupid.

I got in range of him.

He stole both my vulnerabilities so I lost all healing potential.

It's been so long since I've fought a competent thief that I forgot
that they knew how to STEAL.

Needless to say we used Save State magic to stop this.

This stage has an arena. I think we should use it, just because.

At first I questioned, why is there an arena here on the first star?

Well. I'll get to that in a moment.



Nothing like a healthy dose of arena murder to get the blood pumping.



Supports exist but there's no conversation. I don't know if this needs
a patch but I plan on updating my version soon.



I made another stupid mistake. This is the risk that comes with doing arenas.



So let's use Anakin, level him and move on from this.



Good. Die for your past mistakes! I know what you would have done!



So unenthusiastic. There's no drama here for Ace.



So. We spend alot of time on this star just hammering away at this guy and
progressing with just two underleveled units.

Considering that this hasn't proven to be too frustrating
I say I've done a good job. Mind the arena and thief slip ups.

Fighting Kelik is going to be a problem though.
Kelik is the strongest here so this could take time.

Not to mention that he recovers health.



But hey progress.

I just want to point out. Edwardo's health growth is awesome.

With him at level 10, let's put some more time and
effort into someone else.

Turn count is honestly not a huge factor but it has a little to do with the day-night cycle, makes the turn # more apparent and also goes along with the "we can't take forever to beat this". obviously not very realistic in the end (fighting for 3 days with no breaks? lol) but whatevz it's just for gameplay purposes

Well, yeah, after it being exploited way too much, can't have guys using it to kill Galagar... *coughacertainsomeonecough*. Honestly the triangle attack really is pretty OP, I mean the base condition is a little hard to get but once you do it's great on bosses and you can use it multiple times easily (at least limit it to like, once a map or something! lol)

Craze staff isn't too bad if you just let someone get berserked that can take out Marion anyway lol. And keep them alone so they don't attack any of your guys. XD

Honestly the senators and even the Emperor himself are kiiiiinda throwaways, whatever though, I mean in the original hack they didn't even exist lol, the senators were thought up like 90% into the story and blakaslkdjiaosdjasdj it's just all one mess I don't like it which is why I wanted to be done with the hack/story and go on to something good lol

Anakin is bad because you didn't level him early on IIRC lol he's a good unit otherwise, one of the best due to having motivation and access to Alustrona along with being required for over half the game lol

lol at an A support this late. I kinda wanted to ban supports for the last couple of chapters just because it'd be even less fitting than normal.

I honestly wanted to, it was one of the things I thought of doing since the beginning, but it was just way too hard, to set that up and follow all the characters and write all the events... I already did quotes for every character in chapter 27 and again in finale part 3, at this part I was ready to fall over and faint, in fact I'm pretty sure I did the Epilogue after so I was SERIOUSLY drained... haha.
