"He's only a kid, Zel. I'll go check out the village." Kraan gave a strange look at Zel, then turned around and headed down the road for the village of Serest.

((What? Why were you talking to Skyler? He's not with you, his brother isn't in Serest, he's in Tresa.))

((Oops. I meant Zel. Sorry.))

[Holy Kensai]

((Whoops, Cadair was your destination that was twenty miles away, I must've misread. Oh well, we can blame it on Cecil being dumb. ))

Cecil sighed and followed after Kraan, knowing he'd probably get himself into even more trouble.

"Why are you following me?" Kraan asked, noticing that Cecil had broken off from the group and started to follow him. "Not like I'll need help. Doubt there are any morphs there anymore."

((Wait...if Skyler's bro is in Tresa, where are we going? O_o))

Zel watched Kraan walk off, with Cecil following. He turned to Suoh. "Listen. Just because they trust you doesn't mean I do. One bad move and you lose your head. Got it?" He stepped a few steps back and turned to stare off into the horizon. It was nearing sunset.

((I guess we are going in a random direction then,. Kind of like Lyn was in the prologue of FE7. It IS remarkably similar though. Let's make Leona an heir to a throne xD And anyways, this RP is going to be stalled until Rennac and kensai come back to finish their little sub-plot.))

Kraan turned a corner, but was unprepared for the sight that lay before him. There was nothing but a scattering of ashes and fallen timbers. All scattered with bodies of men, women, even children. "This... This... " Kraan stuttered, left speechless with the horror of the scene. Kraan speechlessly turned around and walked back to the group, feeling his heart burn with hatred for the morphs.




((Sort of upped the ante a bit.))

Leona was in a nearby tree, looking at the sunset. It was a very pretty sight. The way the light shone on the ground, and the way that the colors mixed made her feel happy inside, even though Skyler was gone, and the new companion was beginning a new fight.

Leona felt a need to ease the mood, and called down to Zel, "Says the man who tried to insult us when you first joined us! Give the kid some slack, You're all sword users, right? Then why don't you guys get along, spar if you have to battle, or help Cecil not fail at swordfighting. Whatever floats your boat."

Skyler stood at the edge of the forest, oblivious to the chattering of the birds. He was watching the girl, Leona call to the others. Perhaps...in time, I shall join with them again. For now, I will watch, and see what they do. He thought to himself as he vanished into the shadows.

[AS Deadly]

((Hurry up and come back so we can get going, Rennac xD))

Zel's gaze softened. He turned to Leona. "You're too soft. You're all...too soft. Too nice. Your kindness will not always result in a favorable outcome. You must be aware of this. Yet, you continue to extend a hand of friendship. I must ask...why?"

[Rennac]

Kraan, seeing Zel telling Leona that we were "too soft", Kraan looped around, walked behind Zel, and pressed his knife into his back, then pulled it back. " You think we're soft, eh? Why not leave then? Why not leave our soft little group and go on by yourself?" Kraan looked bitterly at Zel, trying to keep down the anger he had shown when they first met.

((Walked behind Skyler or Zel? Skyler is currently hidden xP))

Zel looked at the ground. "I...am not used to kindness. It has been a long time since I met people who were so...friendly. I developed my outward shell to prevent outside influences but...somehow you have gotten to me. I sincerely apologize for the way I have acted thus far...but I have been hesitant to make relations with others. I've lost too many to endure that anymore."

[Rennac]

((Zel. I keep mixing them up. ))


Kraan twirled his knife and sheathed it. "Yes... I don't trust anyone anymore. I'd advise you not to go down to the village." Kraan looked down, his mind flashing with the images of the burnt village.

[AS Deadly]

Zel looked up. "So...it's gone? All of it?"

[Rennac]

"Technically, no. But... Just don't go there. We can trust Suoh. No human would side with the morphs after seeing this... Atrocity." Kraan looked at Suoh, feeling an emotion unfamiliar to him: pity.

"I...see. By the way, where's Cecil? Wasn't he with you?"

Leona sighed and watched the boys fight it out, it was tiresome and boring. Leona said in a soft and stern voice, "Always with the seriousness, no time for fun, I'll be serious now. Happy?"

Leona put on her best exaggerated serious face, and climbed down the tree, complaining the whole way down.
