I draft Bioshock
Since Seraph took Half-Life, I must say that the biggest thing about Bioshock can be described in one word: groundbreaking. I'll quote TVtropes here:
That doesn't take away from the rest of the game though. Rapture is by far one of the most interesting and intriguing (and beautiful given the amount of effort given to it) places you'll ever visit in a video game and some of the dialogue you'll hear from Little Sisters are quite terrifying.
"Mr Bubbles... please, please wake up! Please!"
Oh and let's not forget how it's pretty much an attack on Atlas Shrugged. There are few games, outside maybe Spec Ops: The Line which deal with a comment so happily.
There's so much you can say about this game but I'll leave it with these key points.

That was my second choice, nice pick. Fantastic game. That intro to Rapture is one of the best, not just in gaming, but across the board. Of course, there's more than just the intro, but I just feel it needed a mention.

I'm sure most here have played it, but for the three and a half of you who haven't, L4D2 is a zombie shooter, focused on using teamwork and a variety of ranged and melee weapons to overcome the Infected horde. Unlike some depictions of zombies, a majority of L4D2's are fast, but weak. You'd easily be able to go through levels without taking a scratch- if it wasn't for the AI Director, that is. The Director works behind the scenes, coordinating zombie spawns and eventually crescendos featuring of horde after horde of zombies, all while mixing the level's music and item spawns to ensure that no two playthroughs are the same. On top of that, if you're doing too well (or more often, if you just aren't behind enough), the director will slip a few special Infected at you. Having too much fun staying in the same spot and picking off zombies? Enjoy the Spitter's pool of acidic vomit coming your way. Straying too far from the pack? You'll either meet the massive extendo-lasso that is the Smoker's tongue, or the vicious rampage of the Charger- and the pounding that's soon to follow. That's not to mention the Jockey's joyride, the Boomer's pheromic expulsions, the Hunter's vicious pounces, or the brutal Tank and the nightmarish Witch. All around, L4D2 is a fantastic zombie shooter, especially with friends.
