I also made a list of all the boss portraits needed and wrote down a list of custom animations needed. I sent the list of portraits needed to my spriter helper so that can get started on.
With a story outline done I had an idea of what every map should look like so I informed a good friend of mine who is a great map spriter and has already helped a ton with the hacking. He should be able to get some of those done but I may still need help (and I'll be doing some of portrait, battle sprite, and map spriting myself, of course).
With that everything is set and I can start working on the scripts and preparing everything for hacking, which I'll do in the summer. In the summer everything will be ready so I should be able to complete a chapter in 2 days. I probably won't work for about one month so if summer break is 70 days I'll have about 30 full work days so 15 chapters should be done. That'll leave the final 7 chapters so I should be done with the hack by next spring break! But if not, I'll finish by next summer break (NOT the one coming in 2 months).
Yay me! I'm finding so many ways to celebrate XD

When your little "Zelda" sound thing plays after a weapon level increase... when I go to the "info" menus by pressing "R", there's no sound that comes up... or when I scroll through info windows on characters...
It's only AFTER that sound when it glitches up... this is the latest version that you posted... on BOTH the DS background and non DS versions...
After you end the turn though... it's fine... Just though you should know... though people could just ignore it... XD

2) I know about this glitch. Any sounds on the same priority level as my custom sound get nulled, I'm thinking it has to do with some sort of overflow or complicated interference. There isn't really an "unused" priority so I chose something that wouldn't make a huge difference but actually when making a video last night I encountered the same problem as you and I was like "dang that stinks..."... I still don't understand why it happens but I was thinking of maybe transferring all sounds on priority 8 to priority 7 and then keeping the custom sound alone on priority 8. But that'd likely cause problems too, so I'm just keeping it the way it is.
Thanks for telling me anyway though. I was a -little- curious if anyone noticed the glitch.

Ch.2's house still doesn't work for me.
Ch.8's preparation screen lets me field 6 units but there's only 5 starting squares to put them on. The 6th unit goes completely offscreen and is unusable.

I didn't use cheats, I'm playing hard mode, I'm using the latest (DS version) patch and I'm pretty sure I am using visualboy advance v1.8.0.3.

An update of sorts, I run over the TU progress (although there's nothing to show) and ask for some help regarding some things.

I'll probably end up doing 27 more of the important ones (not to mention all of Kelik's). That still leaves 30 supports that, while they are not crucial to the game, will add to it. The last part is TEXT FORMATTING. I need text formatting help because it's a long process. If someone can use the Natural Script Formatter to get scripts formatted in short time (ESPECIALLY support conversations, since I don't have time to format those), that'd be awesome. I'd like as much help as I can get. I'd really appreciate it. I'm not expecting a lot (I only have a couple dozen people who follow) but if I could get 1 or 2 people that'd be sick. |
