Probably Uther. He was barely involved, but when he was he knew everything, and was supposedly a great leader/strong fighter.
Either him or Guy. The whole green-haired swordmaster thing.
I haven't really played 1-5, I tried but I couldn't really get into them, so I'm probably missing all the "best" people.

Marth when he was a nice guy... that was back then in FE1 and 3 of course. Now that translations butchered his personality... he's so mean 
I guess now it is Roy because unlike how he appears, he is actually very smart. Or maybe Nino because she reminds me of those kind hearted foster children with a wicked stepmother like those fairy tales. Very classic.
Oh yeah... and probably General Camus... for starting the good villain archetype. Selena from FE8 follows that somehow.

No,because I've only played FE6-FE8 and FE11, and out of all of those, the only two Myrmidons that I have actually used are Joshua and Navarre.

Yeah, but somehow my FE6 data got messed up and I lost all my FE6 data. And I had JUST recruited Rutger!

Hey guys... no one is copying anyone. Many people like Swordmasters because of their awesomeness... including my brother... so it doesn't matter that you both love Swordmasters... that's pretty awesome. So no fighting 
Rutger, Navarre, Karel... all of them resemble each other that I just cannot tell the difference
Rutger is good, but I think he's the most overrated character ever for FE6...
I didn't like Joshua because he came up to Eirika... CRITICAL'D her... and guess what happened next -__-
Those Myrmidons and their Killing Edges... also starting out as enemies. Ouch.
I tried to do the same thing to my enemies with Joshua... he had a critical of 68. But guess what? He NEVER CRITICAL'D! Don't get me wrong. Joshua is an awesome character... but for some reason, he doesn't like me...
And I've only played FE6, 7, 8, and 11 (and 3)... so we're pretty much on the same boat.

Karel from FE7 and FE6 are completely different. The former being a bloody maniacal serial killer, the latter being so... not former Karel. Did you find Guy or Karel better when playing? For some reason, Karel did better than Guy... I have no idea why.

I said Karel, but that was because I had like just promoted guy at the time.
I liked Rath though. He looked awesome, until he got promoted anyways...I don't particularlly like Nmd troopers. Something with the hair throws me off...
Nomads were an awesome class.

Actually, now I think my favorite character of all FE is that paladin at FE:SD level 18, the one that comes out of that fort at turn 7 near the arena.

Her unique spell is Aura... which is for females. Oddly enough, she inherited that from her FATHER... who is obvious male and can use it. @_@
Starlight used to be her unique spell, but now... any mage with at least a C in their magic ranking can use it... therefore making Linda nearly useless when you can just use Merric to bust Gharnef (which everyone except me does)...

I'd have to say my favorite character out of fire emblem would be Jill from Fe9/10. (Mia is a close second.)
