[Sea Lion]

So here are the sprites that I've made that I'm actually slightly happy with how they came out. I have this over on TEB but I figured I might as well show it to as many people as I could to get the most critique.

These are basically all splices expect for the Indian guy and then the last guys hat (which still looks off but better than the original).

I think the border on some of your mugs is slightly off, especially on the left hand side, starting on the one that has Garrets head

Damn, I like your sprite sheets. Much better than I could make, and that's a fact.
Your original kid is pretty cool, though I can see lots of pillow shading in their.

Though, I shouldn't be talking, I pillow shade like crazy.

V'ren: Yeah for some reason I couldn't figure out how to shade the kid well. That's why I just re-spliced him.

Seraphinox: Huh, yeah that's weird I'll go in and try and fix that later, kinda surprised I missed that...

Edit: Mkay, so I have the normal battle scene for the gunner working, but I was wondering, is it possible to have a normal ranged attack (the gun) and a magic ranged attack?

Okay, so I updated the gunner and made three maps. The third map has a bit of tile spam I know, but it's still the first draft of it. The mountains of the first one are a bit off and the paths of the second one are a bit off. I'm going to fix most of that sometime soon.

I think you have to work on your sprites, but the maps are good.

I really like the first map (even if you have to fix the mountans a little ) but the best thing is the gunner animation, I really like the smoke from the pistole.

So, I've been doing mostly hacking lately, but I needed a custom sprite for one of my characters (the kid in my first post). So here's his standing frame, which one do you guys like more/is better/how do I make it better?



That's a stick in his hand by the way.

1st frame is better. Looks more natural. Why is he holding a stick?

^ Yeah that's pretty much it. In my game I'm having people come from multiple different worlds and this kid comes from ours.

So yeah, I guess I'll get on those frames then.

Personally, I liked the second. Try throwing it in the crit animation or something.

Yeah, since it was already a finished frame I'm going to have him raise his stick to his shoulder then run and hit the enemy in his normal attack. Won't be too hard.

In other news, probably not gonna have this sheet (or anything else for that matter) done till my school gets out cause I've been getting tons of projects and then I have finals in like two weeks.

The elephant wasn't acutally all that hard to make. I just recolored then widened the bottom half of the centaur from FE8. And somehow the head just kinda materialized cause I got really freaking lucky.

Now animating it... that's gonna take like forever....

Edit: wow, not taking as long as I feared. I've gotten through all the easy stuff already. All that's left is the elephant hitting and then turning around and coming back to the tamer...


Edit: I am so good. I made this entire sheet in a single day! granted it isn't perfect, I could definatley add in some walking frames and then make some more legit turning frames (I stole them right from the great knight) but it's still pretty sweet.
