What's your top 5 all time favorite Video Game series?

Mine would be, in order:

5. Command & Conquer

Best RTS Series of all time.

4. Assassin's Creed

Best climbing mechanics of all time.

3. Halo

Best shooter of all time.

2. Mario

Best character of all time.

1. Mass Effect

Best Bioware game.

Hard to pick between Mass Effect and Mario.

Pretty obvious.....it's an amazing series.

2. Mario
Favorite from series: Super Mario 64
Mario is easily the greatest video game character ever.

3. Ratchet & Clank
Favorite from this series: Ratchet: Deadlocked
Alright Alright, I will admit Deadlocked isn't the best from this series, but is my personal favorite. It's a fun shooter with crazy weapons.

4. Pokemon
Favorite from that series: Pokemon Yellow
Pokemon is bad-ass.

5. Total War Series
Favorite from that series: Empire: Total War
Me and my love of history finds this game to be completely amazing in every aspect of amazingness.

1. Guitar Hero
I'm a big fan of music. My favorite instruments are the piano and guitar. I'm taking piano lessons, so this'll have to do until I'm also able to take guitar lessons

2. Super Smash Bros.
Always great for a hilarious night with a couple of friends

3. Call of Duty
It's just awesome. That's all.

4. Medal of Honor
See Call of Duty.

5. Advance Wars
It's a pretty relaxing game that still requires you to think pretty carefully about what you need to do in order to advance. Maybe not what you had expected, but yeah, I like the AW series quite a lot

Series huh? I guess I gotta be a little more picky then:

1. Mario has been amazing me for years on top of years.
2. Final Fantasy when it comes to a story they have been there to keep me interested (because that's what you play the games for the story screw the graphics)
3. Star Ocean/Grandia Back when Enix was big and a threat to Square IMO these games had me going for quite some time.
4. Marvel vs Capcom I've been playing crossover fighting games for a long time so I have a spot for this series.
5. Super Robot Wars I've started following this series about 4 years ago been trying to back log play the others for awhile now. If only the older ones were in English but you can't always get what you want.

**: As for a last one, it's a bit tricky. I love the Fallout universe- but as far as the series goes, I only like FO3 and New Vegas. 1, 2, BOS and Tactics aren't very good imo. I also love Metal Gear's universe, but it's too tough of a choice between the two.

1. Kingdom Hearts
It's the only series that has me giddy as a schoolgirl when I hear about another installment. Every game's plot is part of the most well-put-together story that was made up as it went along lol.

2. Mass Effect
A gigantic galaxy of the not-so-distant future, where technology has advanced hundreds of years...punctuated by the player's choices. MHMM.

3. Assassin's Creed
Apocalyptic (and eerily close to life) events? Controlling corporations? History portrayed interactively? Why thanks sir, I'll have another

4. Sonic the Hedgehog
Sure, the Blue Blur has had his ups and downs, but the experiences in those ups...HOO BOY not many series can match them.

5. Streets of Rage
No series defines "pick up and play" like SoR. Just try it, you'll see

You know, the more and more I played Golden Sun... the more and more I feel like it doesn't deserve to be on a top five list. I mean... the gameplay gets very very linear after a while, and even though the puzzles are good, puzzles usually are only good the first time you play them.

5. Resident Evil. I've never actually played one of them through to the end (I flat-out SUCK at them) but the plot and backstory of the series as a whole is damn awesome.

Note: 2-5 aren't really in any order, just what came to my head first. FE is definitely #1 though.
