No, I don't mean just statwise (he's sub-par in the second generation of Fe4, but definitely the best lance knight in Fe5).

I don't even know why I like Finn so much, honestly. I always baby him and give him all the extra stuffs in his games. In Fe5 I ended up giving him every single manual...and I may or may not have killed off Altenna and Leaf in Fe4 just so Finn would inherit Thracia...

Case and point. Finn is awesome. Anyone else with me on this?

I agree. Notice how much of Jugdral he's in. Both generations of FE4 and he's one of the most important characters in FE5. Most characters are only in one of those three, and some are in two. Then he's pretty good statwise taking all things into consideration. And finally he's an all around likable guy.

Yes, Fin is indeed awesome.

Woot a fellow Finn/Fin? fan! Ah, and I forgot one very important point.

His Prayer skill. Saved my ass on so many occasions my first Fe4 playthrough.

I think it's actually spelled Fin. IDK though, my FE4 translates it to Fin while FE5 translates to Finn >.>

HE'S IN THE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM CAUSE OF ETHLIN AND CUAN AND WHEN THEY ASSIGNED HIS NEW NAME AS FINN HE DECIDED NOT TO TELL THEM HIS OLD NAME WAS FIN SO HE WOULDN'T HAVE TO LEARN A NEW NAME.

That is CLEARLY why. Nothing to do with translation. At all.

I like Cuan better.

Finn's alright. He's got some pretty good stats.

BUT HE'S SO COOL D:

Although I do agree that Cuan is pretty awesome as well. Which is also another reason why I tend to have Fin kill Trabant in some playthroughs.

Screw you, Trabant.

Use spoiler tag next time.

Fin is an incredible unit in FE5, not so much in FE4. In FE4, he arrives at a chapter in which he has WTD against most of the enemies, save the hunters. He continues to suck until he obtains the Hero lance from Cuan during chapter 2. Unfortunately, he leaves next chapter. By this time, I usually manage to pair him with Lachesis and Sell his Brave lance for Fury to use.

On the contrary, Fin is one of the best units in FE5. His Build is decent and the brave lance is useful for capturing enemy units.

Its really up to you, Fin can be difficult to train in FE4 but in the end, its worth it. Not training Fin will result in having a difficult time keeping Nanna and Leaf alive during Chapter 6.

That's not an uncommon occurance. Prayer causes enemies to miss, but doesn't show the percentage on-screen. Fin surviving a 100% hit attack can and does happen.

Also, Fin is one of the coolest characters in the series. Not as awesome as Hicks, but Fin is pretty dang neat. happy.gif

Finn has a at least a decent chance (compared to the others) to nail Althena, which makes him cool, too.

Not if you pair him in the first generation, which is what should be happening.
