I get mine from http://www.brushesdownload.com/ but I use cs4, so I dunno if the brushes will work for GIMP 2, but they might.

The newest gimp (2.6 I think probably earlier editions as well) can use photoshop brushes.

Yes, I sometimes reuse text, fighting spirit, when I thought of crimson flash, I thought of thunderbolts for some reason and I went with that text for that.
