Preference on each?

I think Ephraim's is slightly more challenging and... Fire Emblem like... because it focuses on the war aspect, and almost all Fire Emblem games focus on war (excluding FE7 and parts of FE10). I didn't take much interest in Eirika's story as far as plot goes. Carcino didn't really appeal to me and I felt that Eirika was too much of a weak, helpless character who tried to act tough. But maybe that's just the impression I got.

Knoll was preferably over Innes for me. I do have to admit that Eirika's maps and playthrough was interesting though. Carlyle was cool for sure.

Being the RPG sucker I am, I voted Eirika's route. (Remember, the "R" in RPG means Role)

As much as I hated to see Glen die, that's exactly why I favored Eirika's path. That alone is an example of the storyline.

I wish I could say Ephraim's route. But I can't. I felt like they put all their effort into Eirika's, and then just threw in Ephraim's after.


Just a random tangent, I liked that one level that was in neither of their stories, where Eirika was supposed to land. Anyone know the deal with that?

They probably made the map and then at the end realized that they never went there and just threw it in as a monster map. I wish they'd put it in, though. I don't like the skirmishes, and that's the only way to fight there.

I like Eirika's Story better. I'm a sucker for the chicks unless the guy's story is just as interesting.

Ephraim's route is the best when it comes to story and gameplay, no question.
Eirika's route makes Shaq Fu look like the best game of the world.

I have to say Ephraim's route, but Eirika's Chapter 16 is more fun to play because it is more difficult and a greater quantity of enemies.

My vote goes to Ephraim.

I preferred her map theme and I always got the feeling that Ephraim's story was thought of at the last minute. I don't know why though.

I still prefer Ephraim's story. He was a much better character than Eirika was. She was all "oo les save leon" and Ephraim was all "crap he's evil gotta kill him"..

No no Soviet. That was only during Chapter 5x. After that Ephraim was the exact same character as Eirika.
