Yeah, a translation project isn't something one can really do alone anyway. At least a few people are needed--in our case we have 5 but wouldn't mind a couple other helpers. The right talents are just needed (see blog per usual if you're interested).

If you guys manage to make and release a patch that translates names, menu and plot, I doubt the game will get an official English release (Which I am doubting anyway).

I've had this game for some time, but I didn't play it in hopes of getting an English translation, official or not. Eventually I got tired of waiting and finished it 100% Japanese.

Lucky for me, my Japanese is good enough to navigate the menu and understand names, items, some effects and part of the plot, but there are many unfortunate people that can't do that. (Super Robot Taisen, I can't thank you enough for making me learn a little Japanese and entertain me at the same time)

This is why I encourage you guys to keep going with this project. Fire Emblem should be available for everyone to enjoy. It would be a great service to the fans, by the fans.

I'm not to sure if this would help much (seeing as how I don't have links to them), but there are two programs I know of (Atlas and AGTH) that can help translate games.

I don't think they'll be of much use, we plan on having a custom program be made for us anyway.

@Addertaisen yep, I did the same thing. I couldn't wait but I got the basic crap. I wish there'd be an official release but if not, then that's what fan translators are for... *sigh*

Although I doubt I'll even use this though. From the screenshots I've seen the game seems like its going to be a dissapointment just like FE Shadow Dragon. I've tried so many times to play it but I just lose intreset so quickly in it. It's just not as fun as the other Fire Emblem games.

Hahah, no. This game is pretty awesome... at least IMO. Everything is improved upon and then they added plenty of new stuff too--BSFE can be considered new, lots of new weapons/items, some new classes, very nice music, better graphics, customization, many new characters, new plot/story additions, really, if you don't give this game a chance (in English anyhow) you're not doing justice to it.

Btw. the guys from aeon genesis (a very good translator team) are working on a proper retranslation of the original FE3 Aeon Genesis FE3 Translation (for the true gamers)

Yeah, the "slave of your own" phrase is a rather harsh metapher for someone, who overthrows themselve with soo mutch work, that they'll won't have anymore time for other things exept for they work for whatever reason(16 hours work and 8 hours sleep).
The phrase also works well with anykind of unsatisfied need like hunger, sleep, attention, lust etc.
