FE 7 portrait editing problem

The guides I see use un-lz gba or whatever, but it's not working for me.
Every time I load a portrait, when I go to write it to the file, it says that
the picture to insert is too big, even if I haven't made any changes.
Would someone be able to help me out with this? As soon as this issue is resolved, I'll have a hack ready for its first release.

Blazer: When I open the program (assuming you're talking about the file labeled "Execute FE 7") , Command prompt loads, some text scrolls, and it gives me some kind of error. Could you be a little more clear on what to do, and any requirements for it?

Better yet, try re-installing java, restarting your computer, and contacting Zeld (AIM=hectorofchad) for help on running that program.

Ace's portrait modules can also be found somewhere on that forum^^

OK, there is a new program called FEditor Adv, it's very useful in fact and can be downloaded below, open it, open your ROM, open Portrait Editor using the top menu, and then you have to make the portrait in the format it shows. Once you have the image, insert it using the "insert" button, hit "update", exit the portrait editor, go to File-Save and save it, and then try it out, if you do it correctly you should have a portrait, check out the editor's documents for more help. http://www.feunivers...?showtopic=1972 |
What I don't understand is that it is called FE_Editor.7z, So HOW DO I OPEN IT?

PS This utility is very useful if you want to hack character names. I am going to write a tutorial on it.

Unzip it, and open up any of the batch files, load up your rom, ignore the error message, and click around at the top to find what you're looking for. PS This utility is very useful if you want to hack character names. I am going to write a tutorial on it. |
Unzip it with what though? I don't get how to open a .7z file Seriously I really don't get it...

Portraits are kind of hard, but for the game script you'll have to dump it first. Also, you should use this for text, it's better than parser and nearly as good as anti-huffman. |
What I don't get is where the Program is I Opened the file and all I see is:
1. Folder called - build
2. Folder - Dist
3. Folder - Doc
4. " " - Nbproject
5. "" - src
6. "" - test and then More Crap
Did I DL the wrong thing?
