*Note: The game is normally titled just "Fire Emblem" in America but has been labeled as "Blazing Sword" by most fans (as translated from the Japanese title, "Rekka no Ken).

Introduction: Fire Emblem 7- The Blazing Sword is the first Fire Emblem installment in the U.S.A. as well as some other countries. For the GBA, this game has two parts and severeal modes. The main characters are Lyn of the Sacae, Hector of the Lycian City Ostia, and Eliwood of the Lycian city Pherae.

In this game, the player is the tactician and takes place as part of the actual story. They wake up finding Lyn on the plains, and the story carries on as Lyn, the tactician, and others travel to Caelin in order for Lyn to defeat Lyn's evil uncle Lundgred and find her grandfather.

One year after this, Eliwood is looking for his father who had recently left. Hector, Eliwood's best friend, joins in, and they meet up with Lyn once again, and the three friends go on to find Eliwood's father and then defeat the menacing Nergal from spreading evil across the land...
